Becky Lynch's return feud; new champion to be crowned? - 4 directions for Liv Morgan after WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event was the last major program from World Wrestling Entertainment in 2024. This show marked the return of the quarterly special and fans were eager to watch it unfold.

There were four championship matches on the card and each delivered. With that being said, one of the most interesting bouts was for the Women's World Championship. Liv Morgan put her prized title on the line against IYO SKY.

The Genius Of The Sky put on an incredible performance, as she always does, but in the end, things didn't go her way. Liv put up her boots during an Over The Moonsault and IYO crashed hard. Morgan then hit the ObLIVion for the victory.

Now that Liv has vanquished another foe, many are wondering what might be next for The Miracle Kid. This article will take a look at a handful of directions The Judgment Day star's career could take in the coming weeks and months following the big victory last night.

Below are four directions for Liv Morgan after WWE Saturday Night's Main Event:

#4. She could face Rhea Ripley at the RAW Netflix premiere

Liv Morgan's victory over IYO SKY at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event was a glorious one. After her win, she was greeted by The Judgment Day members Raquel Rodriguez and Dominik Mysterio and the trio proceeded to celebrate on the ramp.

Then things took a turn for Liv. Rhea Ripley's theme hit and The Eradicator made her way out. While nothing major happened, Liv and Rhea did have a stare down with Morgan raising her belt in the air. This indicates the two are going to have a rematch on WWE programming sooner rather than later.

Monday Night RAW's Netflix debut is on January 6 and it is bound to be a massive show. Liv could defend her belt against Rhea at the event, perhaps losing and concluding their long rivalry once and for all. This would then free both up for a different program heading into WrestleMania 41.

#3. Liv Morgan could move to SmackDown in the WWE Transfer Window

WWE has announced something brand new in the wake of the red brand's move to Netflix. In an effort to shuffle the rosters around and make RAW, SmackDown, and even NXT the best shows possible, a new Transfer Window has been introduced.

Nick Aldis has already signed a big star in Braun Strowman, which fans discovered on the blue brand this week. Now, after a huge win, Liv Morgan's next move could be signing with Friday Night SmackDown and leaving RAW with her prized title.

This could be appealing to Liv for a few reasons. For starters, there is constant drama within The Judgment Day that she likely would want to avoid. Beyond that, Rhea Ripley won't stop gunning for her. Liv may feel her only escape from The Eradicator is to swap brands.

#2. She could kick Finn Balor and JD McDonagh out of The Judgment Day

The Judgment Day has long been one of the top factions in WWE. The group currently features Finn Balor, Carlito, JD McDonagh, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio. Edge, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley are past members.

As noted in the previous entry, The Judgment Day is constantly witnessing drama. Finn Balor routinely tries to play the leader of the faction despite pretending to do otherwise. Meanwhile, JD McDonagh is his right-hand man.

Liv Morgan could decide enough was enough and kick both stars out of the faction. If Raquel Rodriguez, Carlito, and Dominik Mysterio agree, which they likely would, Finn will not have the veto power to keep himself in the group or control it. This could then bring peace to the faction.

#1. Morgan could feud with the returning Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch is one of the greatest female superstars in WWE history. She is a multi-time World Champion and the first woman to both headline and win the main event of WrestleMania.

Unfortunately, The Man hasn't been seen in a long time. She lost her prized Women's World Championship to Liv Morgan thanks to interference from Dirty Dom. Big Time Becks then lost a rematch on WWE RAW, once again thanks to Dominik Mysterio.

Many believe Becky will be back in action soon. If she does indeed return, Liv could resume her feud with The Man. Lynch could win the prized Women's World Championship back and then proceed to once again battle Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania in what would be an epic rematch. Regardless of the plans, Liv vs. Becky could be what's next.
