Beloved WWE star to snap and turn heel, big name makes major change - 4 things that may happen if Sami Zayn reunites with Roman Reigns
The Bloodline saga remains arguably the most fascinating and exciting part of WWE programming. Right now, Solo Sikoa is running the stable with Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa watching his back.
Fans are eagerly anticipating a major return in Roman Reigns. The former Tribal Chief hasn't been seen since WrestleMania, but will likely return to the Sports Entertainment Juggernaut as a babyface to shut down Solo Sikoa and his takeover of the stable.
Even though Roman Reigns is phenomenal, he cannot do it on his own. The Head of The Table would be outmatched by the four stars and will need help. One wrestler many believe could end up siding with Reigns is an old ally and enemy: Sami Zayn.
While it would take a lot for the two to reunite on television, the move isn't impossible. If it does happen, however, there will be a lot of fallout. This article will look at a few things that could happen if the Canadian star were to reunite with the true Tribal Chief.
Below are four things that may happen if Sami Zayn reunites with Roman Reigns in WWE.
#4. Roman Reigns may apologize to Sami Zayn
The relationship between Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns on WWE television is an interesting one. When the two became paired up on-screen, Sami was playing the role of a comedic heel and Roman was a tyrannical stable leader.
Over time, Zayn began gaining sympathy from the crowd as The Tribal Chief routinely mistreated him. This eventually led to Sami becoming so fed up that he smashed Reigns with a steel chair. The two went on to battle several times at major WWE events last year.
For the pair to reunite, Roman will likely need to apologize to Sami. Months of manipulation and verbal abuse followed by physical assaults open wounds that aren't easily healed. While it is pro wrestling and people always seem to make up, an apology would likely help things.
#3. The two reuniting could lead to Jey Uso mending fences with his cousin
Sami Zayn isn't the only person Roman Reigns alienated over his years as The Head of The Table. As bad as Sami had it from The Tribal Chief, a different WWE star arguably had it worse than anybody: Jey Uso.
Main Event Jey Uso had so much turmoil with his family that he not only fought them, but he went on to move to WWE Monday Night RAW and has found success as a singles star. In doing so, however, he remains close friends with Sami Zayn.
If Sami and Roman do reunite, there is a chance that Zayn can help mend fences between the battling cousins. Jey being on Roman's side to fight this new Bloodline would be huge, as Uso is one of the few stars to pin Reigns in recent years. More than that, cousins reuniting would be heartwarming.
#2. Sami Zayn could move to WWE SmackDown
The 2024 WWE Draft saw a few changes. One of the major changes was Kevin Owens moving to Friday Night SmackDown. Meanwhile, his best friend and tag team partner Sami Zayn remained on the red brand.
RAW has been lucky to have Sami, who is currently the reigning Intercontinental Champion. With that being said, the former WWE WrestleMania headliner may need to change brands if he reunites with Roman.
Unless Triple H or the two General Managers approve of Sami appearing on both shows, he will not be able to help Reigns battle The Bloodline while serving as a member of the RAW roster. As a result, a trade may be necessary to get Sami moved to SmackDown full-time.
#1. Jey Uso could turn heel on Sami
The optimistic perspective of Sami Zayn reuniting with Roman Reigns is that past fences can be mended for both himself and Jey Uso. A more cynical analysis of the situation could end up predicting something entirely different, however.
There is a chance that one-half of The Usos would be furious that his close friend in WWE would reunite with his oppressive and abusive cousin. Instead of peace being made, Jey Uso could lash out and even turn heel on Sami over the decision.
Jey didn't just have issues with Roman. He has had issues with Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. He moved to RAW to escape all of his family drama. If Sami tries to bring him back into it, tensions could rise and Uso may snap on his friend.
