Big E to never wrestle again in WWE? Exploring former WWE veteran's comments on what the future holds
WWE superstars are not strangers to getting injured, but Big E's situation is rather heartbreaking. Having last wrestled way back in 2022, the former WWE Champion was sidelined after breaking his neck. Since then, the fans have been waiting for him to make his in-ring return, but he is yet to be medically cleared. Now, a former WWE veteran is suggesting that the 38-year-old may never wrestle again.
The former WWE veteran in question is Jonathan Coachman. A good friend of Big E, Coachman, spoke about the wrestler's current circumstances alongside his Behind The Turnbuckle co-host, Tommy Carlucci, a few weeks ago. And one thing they both agreed on was that E would never wrestle again.
Coachman claimed that he is aware that Big E wants to return to the squared circle. However, as mentioned earlier, he has been struggling to get medically cleared for the past two years. That said, even if the former New Day member were to receive the go-ahead, Coachman, personally, would never allow him to do it because according to him, all it would take is one chokeslam or bodyslam to paralyze him forever.
"He's never wrestling again. I know he wants to. I would never allow him to because he would take one bad, just a simple chokeslam or a bodyslam for him to be paralyzed forever," said Coachman [From 39:07-39:23]
In all honesty, it would be great to see E back in action, but his health and safety come first. That being said, it's not like other superstars haven't come back from equally severe injuries. So, at this point, all we can do is hold out for hope.
Big E has made it clear that he is content with his life right now
While many have commented on his future, Big E himself shared his thoughts on the future of his pro wrestling career. Recently, the 12-time champion discussed the potential of an in-ring return in an interview with Adrian Hernandez. And, while he does miss wrestling, he is very content with his life right now, as he has always been.
E suggested that he does not know if a return to the squared circle is in the books for him, but he is happy with how things are. He also added that, while it has been more than two years since his last match, he is appreciative of all the support from the fans. But, he is not one to live with regrets.
It's great to know that the 38-year-old is happy with how things are. He seems happy with the work he is doing with WWE right now, which includes panel work for kickoff shows before PLEs. While wrestling may not be an option now, the role of a backstage personality is certainly something he could thrive in.
