Bill Goldberg talks about wrestling promos
We noted earlier this week that Goldberg is in Amsterdam to train with GLORY heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven. TMZ Sports caught up with Goldberg and Legends of Wrestling promoter Louis "Uncle Louie" Gregory earlier this week before he left for Holland, which you can watch above. Goldberg talked about wrestling promos and called Ric Flair the best promo in the business.
Goldberg also talked about training with Verhoeven, and noted that he wasn't flying out “for the fun of it”.
“I hope to eventually get in the ring and do a fight, I'd love to,” Goldberg admitted. “The reality is that I'm not going to be fighting a fighter like Rico. I'm not a fighter, I'm not a pro fighter, I've never had a professional fight. But I've had a huge passion for the sport, for the business. I don't have anything to prove, I'd just be going out there and displaying my skills.”
About whether he would do well, he admitted that it was dependent on who his opponent will be.
Just a reminder that Goldberg will be appearing at the June 7th Legends of Wrestling event at Citi Field along with Bret Hart, Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, Amy Dumas, The Nasty Boys, Demolition, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Scott Steiner.
