From the WWE Rumor Mill: Bludgeon Brothers could be added to Fastlane tag-team title match
What's the story?
The Usos and The New Day reignited their rivalry on SmackDown Live leading to a title match at Fastlane between the two long-standing foes. However, the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests things could get very interesting for the tag-team title match at the Pay-Per-View.
In case you didn't know...
The Usos and The New Day had an epic feud that culminated in a tag-team title match between them at Hell in a Cell in a match that I'm sure will go down as one of the best tag-team matches of the modern era.
Since then The Usos have taken on and defeated all comers, most recently ending their programme with Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin having emphatically beat them on multiple occasions
The heart of the matter
However, as Dave Metlzer reports, The Usos' days of being champion could well and truly be numbered with The New Day gunning for the titles again, and a new dominant tag-team possibly being added to the title match as well.
Meltzer indicated that The Bludgeon Brothers who have had some, so far peaceful, yet tense altercations with The Usos, although one innocent monitor did get literally bludgeoned. The team of Harper and Rowan have been dominant since their debut and finally giving them a tag-team title programme could be a good way to move them forward.
What's next?
Fastlane has quickly become a PPV of changes, not only was the main event changed from a Triple Threat to a Six-Man match and the current United States title match involving Bobby Roode and Randy Orton is rumoured to have Jinder Mahal added to it.
Author's take
I'm all for the Bludgeon Brothers being added to the Fastlane match. However, if they are added I truly believe they have to win and look strong doing it.
