Both stars to be eliminated, interference, and more - 4 possible finishes for Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax on WWE SmackDown

WWE Friday Night SmackDown will air tonight on the FOX Network. The big show will feature more King and Queen of the Ring Tournament matches and a big contract signing with Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul.

The tournament matches include two for the men: Carmelo Hayes vs. Randy Orton in a dream match and LA Knight vs. Tama Tonga. Meanwhile, the women's bouts include Tiffany Stratton vs. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax.

Jade vs. Nia is particularly interesting. This is the first-ever singles match, but the pair briefly faced off in the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble Match. Since then, some fans have been dying to see the two powerhouses collide, this time one-on-one.

Those fans are in luck, as the bout will occur later tonight. The big question, of course, is who will win? This article will look at a handful of possible conclusions for a match where two titans of the women's division go at it.

#4. Nia Jax could prove her dominance on WWE SmackDown

Nia Jax has been extremely dominant in WWE, winning several championships. She is a former RAW Women's Champion and even held the coveted tag team titles with Shayna Baszler.

Nia has picked up major victories on TV over Liv Morgan and Naomi this year, with the latter happening in a fantastic television match just last week. She is known for her brutal attacks and overwhelming power. So far, this method is working for her.

Given how dangerous Jax is, there is a genuine chance that she defeats Jade Cargill clean in the middle of the ring on SmackDown tonight.

If she hits her variation of the Banzai Drop, even Jade will be unable to get to her feet again. It would be curtains for the tag team champion.

#3. Jade Cargill could pin Jax

As noted, Jade Cargill is one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions alongside Bianca Belair. The two challenged for the prized titles at Backlash France and defeated Damage CTRL's Asuka and Kairi Sane in tag team action.

In fact, excluding a 2024 Women's Royal Rumble loss, Jade has been undefeated since joining the Sports Entertainment juggernaut. This could be a trend that continues when she faces Nia on Friday Night SmackDown.

When Jade entered the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble Match, she lifted Nia and slammed her down. Cargill then lifted Jax again to toss her out of the ring. She has proven she can hang with the former champion. Jade could do the unthinkable when they go one-on-one and hit the Jaded to win via pinfall.

#2. The bout could end in a double count-out, and neither advance

The Queen of the Ring Tournament follows the general rules as the WWE King of the Ring Tournament. It is single elimination, meaning once you're pinned, you're out. In theory, this keeps individuals advancing each round until a winner is decided.

That said, WWE could throw a curveball in the mix by bringing back a past booking choice. Wrestlers have sometimes gone to a draw due to a double countout, double pinfall, or double disqualification.

As a result of such a decision, neither star moves forward, and their next opponent receives a pass. This could happen with Jade and Nia.

The two talented women could brawl on the outside, be counted out, and thus provide Tiffany Stratton or Bianca with an easier path to the finals.

#1. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven could cost Jade the win and set up a feud

Jade Cargill's path to the quarterfinals wasn't easy. The new WWE Women's Tag Team Champion went one-on-one with the talented yet dangerous Piper Niven during last week's episode of SmackDown.

Ultimately, Cargill won by shockingly hitting the Jaded on the powerful Scottish star. She also struck Chelsea Green, who was causing trouble on the apron, thus getting one up on both of the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.

Chelsea and Piper may not take this lying down, however. The two may show up on SmackDown and cost Jade the match, potentially via distraction. From there, they could attack her post-match. This could then set up a tag team feud between the pairings of Jade & Bianca and Piper & Chelsea.
