WWE News: Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens with great messages towards Mark Henry
What's the story?
On Monday afternoon, the WWE announced the latest (and possibly last) inductee in the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame with Mark Henry.
After the announcement, a couple of major WWE Superstars would provide some kind words to The World's Strongest Man.
In case you didn't know...
Henry is a two-time world champion within the WWE. His first world title came in 2008 when he defeated Kane for the ECW Championship when the WWE rebooted the brand.
At Night Of Champions in 2011, he would win the WWE version of the World Heavyweight Championship when he defeated Randy Orton.
The heart of the matter...
Take a look at the tweets from Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens below in response to Henry going into the WWE Hall of Fame.
As you can see, two of the biggest WWE Superstars today have tremendous respect for Henry, who now works backstage as a producer for the WWE.
There are obvious ties between the backgrounds of The World's Strongest Man and The Monster Among Men before they became WWE Superstars.
Henry was a champion powerlifter; while Strowman was a champion in Strongman competitions.
Both competed and won the Arnold Strongman Classic competition created by legendary actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Henry in 2002 and Strowman in 2012.
While there are no details behind Owen's message for Henry, there is no doubt he helped KO along the way when he was new to the WWE.
It is something that many have echoed ever since the announcement, how much Henry has helped them in their careers.
What's next?
The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is just a little over two weeks away when it takes place the Friday before WrestleMania on April 6th in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Joining Henry into the 2018 class are Goldberg, The Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett, Hillbilly Jim, celebrity wing inductee Kid Rock, and Warrior Award recipient Jarrius "JJ" Robertson.
Author's take...
I absolutely loved seeing the kind words that both Strowman and Owens publicly tweeted about Henry. I was able to meet the guy in 2011 and he couldn't have been any nicer.
It will be a treat to see the look on Henry's face when a lot of his peers from his 20+ year career in the WWE give him a standing ovation for being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
