Bray Wyatt is going to outshine John Cena at WrestleMania XXX
Since debuting as the leader of the creepy Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt has won every WWE fan’s heart with his weirdly lovable promos and his in-ring display of raw strength along with his monstrous ‘Family members’ – Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. Wyatt established himself in the WWE when he defeated Kane in a Ring of Fire match at SummerSlam and by defeating Daniel Bryan at Royal Rumble he almost assured fans about his ability to become a top WWE main event superstar soon, and most recently his team’s wins over The Shield at Elimination Chamber and on the March 3 episode of Raw have made Wyatt the man to beat in the WWE.
After defeating WWE’s top superstars in such a short time, it’s understandable why Wyatt chose John Cena as his next rival. He made this decision moments after his Royal Rumble win over Bryan, when he attacked Cena during his championship match against Randy Orton, causing a defeat to the Cenation leader. He repeated his attack next night on Raw during the Elimination Chamber qualifying match between John Cena, Daniel Bryan and Sheamus and The Shield, this time the result went in Cena’s favor as he along with his teammates qualified for the Elimination Chamber match. After this the Wyatt Family shifted their focus onto The Shield leading to fans believing that the Cena-Wyatt feud was over. But, who would’ve predicted that the Wyatt Family (after defeating The Shield) would appear inside the steel chamber out of nowhere and cost another championship win to Cena?!
Next night on Raw a vicious assault by Wyatt Family on Cena confirmed that a match between Wyatt and Cena is set for WrestleMania XXX. This feud, so far, has seen some exciting mic work between Cena and Wyatt, some more intriguing speeches from these two will follow up on Raw. Cena’s speeches are usually filled with drama and he delivers them very well (against CM Punk in 2012, for instance), always inviting his opponents to a challenge, Wyatt does the same but more than issuing a challenge he issues a warning, in his own creepy style. These Wyatt segments are going to bring more heat to this feud, he will make Cena look afraid, and we definitely want to see a scared Cena, who is afraid of losing (again) at the “Grandest Stage of Them All.”
Cena, we know, isn’t a technical wrestler, his moves are all about strength, something which hasn’t been matched by his recent opponents like Randy Orton. But, Wyatt is also all about strength and he will pose a serious challenge, based on strength, to Cena. Cena just might beat Wyatt on the basis of strength, but then Wyatt isn’t the only monster he has to deal with, Rowan and Harper will be present there to get a piece of Cena. The match will be full of mind games, but Wyatt doesn’t need to rely entirely upon it, because he can match Cena in terms of strength. Wyatt is that sort of an opponent which Cena has never faced before, a combination of mind games, mic skills and raw strength.
The most important aspect of this feud is ‘momentum’ which is entirely in Wyatt’s favor. Backed up by wins over Daniel Bryan and The Shield (twice), Wyatt has got the edge over Cena, who has lost three consecutive WWE World Heavyweight Championship matches since TLC. At WrestleMania XXX, Wyatt has got everything to win and Cena has got everything to lose. Some time ago, Cena mentioned that 2012 was his worst year, but if things continue to happen the way they have been since the start of 2014, then this year might surpass 2012 as Cena’s worst WWE year.
