Bret Hart Periscope Q & A - rips on Hogan & Rollins, talks Punk, Owens, more
WWE Hall of famer Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart did a Q & A with Off The Record’s Periscope account and talked about many things wrestling, both past and present. While talking about his current favourites, Bret was all praise for Kevin Owens and how agile he is for a big man. Bret calls him a ‘Superstar’.
When talking about CM Punk, Bret says he is in touch with Punk and he misses him in wrestling and that WWE isn’t the same without him, as he raised the bar and was a great innovator. Bret doesn‘t have a problem with how Punk left and has nothing but respect for him and believes that he took a ‘bullet for every wrestler’.
When asked if he would see Hulk Hogan back in wrestling, Bret is honest and says he ‘hopes not’ and that he continues living in his own world in Tampa, Florida. Bret confesses to never being a fan of Hogan and while he doesn‘t remember Hogan being a racist, he does confirm that there was a lot of racism in wrestling, especially among the southern wrestlers. Bret says he is glad Hogan got busted and wonders if Hogan was happy that Piper passed away, as that took the attention away from Hogan’s scandal.
Bret expressed his admiration for Seth Rollins and calls him a great wrestler, but talks about not being able to forgive him for busting the nose of John Cena, the way he did. In Bret’s opinion, anyone who makes mistakes of those kind can’t really call themselves a great wrestler.
Bret when quizzed on Tyson Kidd, is hopeful that Kidd gets back in the ring as he feels he is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the world and one of the best at it. He feels Kidd is one of those type of wrestlers who we won’t appreciate until he is gone.
During the course of the interview, Bret also gave major props to Cody Rhodes, spoke about the people he stays in touch with and more. You can check out the full interview below:
