Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Braun Strowman for the WWE Universal Championship - WWE No Mercy 2017 Match Results and Analysis

The Monster challenged The Beast in a title match and the outcome was quite unexpected!

The match that everyone has been waiting for for a long time began with the Monster showing great offence towards the Beast at first and got a near pinfall within the first few minutes of the match.

Strowman kept the pressure on for the first part of the match and even though Lesnar almost caught him in an F5, The Monster got out of it and sent Lesnar outside the ring. Strowman sent Lesnar spine first into the ring post outside and then into the turnbuckle inside the ring. Lesnar caught Strowman in the infamous Kimura lock but it would take a lot more bring down the Monster.

Lesnar caught Strowman in four consecutive German Suplexes, wearing his opponent down. A fifth German Suplex from the Beast marked the sixth of the match but failed to hit the F5 instead getting caught in a running Powerslam from Strowman. The Monster got a near-fall but Lesnar executed an F5 out of nowhere and got the pinfall, retaining his Universal Championship.

Result: Brock Lesnar (c) def. Braun Strowman and retained the WWE Universal Championship.

WWE and Vince McMahon want Roman Reigns to be the one who dethrones the Beast incarnate at WrestleMania 34. This could be the reason why Lesnar went over Strowman cleanly.
