Brock Lesnar to return and challenge for a title that he has never won? Exploring potential WWE return in 2025
Fans have not seen Brock Lesnar in a WWE ring since SummerSlam 2023 after he lost to Cody Rhodes in a hard-fought back-and-forth contest. Many believe Lesnar has been absent from the company since then due to his alleged involvement regarding Vince McMahon's ongoing legal issues.
With the severity of Lesnar's involvement in the proceedings not yet known, some fans are hoping to see him back in a WWE ring next year.
One way in which Brock Lesnar could make his return to the company would be for him to go after the reigning Intercontinental Champion, Bron Breakker.
The young star has been compared to the former Universal Champion on many occasions due to his freak athletic gifts as well as impressive feats of strength in the ring. Lesnar going after the star that many believe is the next iteration of him would also enable him to chase after the Intercontinental Championship, a title he has yet to hold in the WWE.
Bron Breakker on potentially facing Brock Lesnar
At just 27 years of age, the sky is truly the limit for Bron Breakker, having only been on the main roster for less than a year, the son of Rick Steiner has already become one of the biggest stars on RAW.
Speaking on WWE El Brunch in 2021, a then-upstart Breakker was already being asked about the potential of a match between him and Brock Lesnar:
"I met him (in) like 2017. I went backstage to Raw when I was in college. I met him there. As a performer, I haven’t ran into him. I’d love to work with Brock. He’s an animal. Like Roddy (Roderick Strong), he would elevate me, force me to elevate and bring my game up. It would be a war."
Whether Brock returns to WWE at the start of 2025 or not, a match between him and Bron Breakker is certainly a contest that many fans are dying to see.
