Bronson Reed to force 41-year-old star to retire; huge backstage fight on Monday? 5 things that may happen after Adam Pearce announced WWE RAW is war
After a few years of overseeing WWE RAW, current General Manager, Adam Pearce might have learned that the best way to restore order in the wrestling world is by letting chaos reign supreme.
Under Pearce's watch, RAW stars have crushed their rivals' ribs, performed jaw-dropping splashes on cars, overturned injured stars' stretchers, and whatnot. While he has been proactive in handing out fines and suspensions, the talents on the red brand don't seem to be deterred by these tame punishments.
After what appears to have been months of consideration, Scrap Daddy finally announced that WWE 'RAW is war' again, making it official. That opens the door to a lot of thrilling possibilities on the upcoming edition of the longest-running weekly wrestling TV show.
With that in mind, here are five wild things that may happen in the upcoming edition of RAW on Monday:
#5 Bronson Reed to unleash a new wave of destruction by retiring Braun Strowman
Between Bronson Reed nailing a headline-making Tsunami Splash on Braun Strowman on top of a car and The Monster Among Men slamming the Aussie through a wall, the titans of WWE have shown that they'll stop at nothing until one of them cannot get back up.
So, with Adam Pearce seemingly loosening the reins on his idea of running a 'peaceful' show, expect the Tsunami-obsessed monster to be the first star to push the boundaries of said 'relaxed' environment.
But what could he do to top the madness he and Strowman have already put each other through? Well, retiring The Monster of All Monsters could be on the cards. Some might point out that it's too soon for such an angle. However, the more irredeemable Reed looks, the more hair-raising his upcoming feud with Seth Rollins will turn out to be.
An attack so heinous that the live crowd and viewers are convinced that the 41-year-old powerhouse will never step foot inside a WWE ring again could do a fantastic job at elevating Reed's stocks even higher.
#4 Damian Priest to invade The Judgment Day's dark room
One of the greatest successes of the Triple H-led creative has been the ongoing Judgment Day saga. Giving the members time to forge deep bonds with one another only for all of it to come crashing down was a fine example of long-term storytelling done right.
Since getting betrayed by Finn Balor at WWE SummerSlam, Damian Priest has been striving to get his hands on his former tag team partner. However, every time it starts to look as if he has the former Universal Champion cornered, the rest of The Judgment Day spoils his revenge plans.
While it's true that The Archer of Infamy will be facing Finn Balor at WWE Bad Blood, it's almost a guarantee that the match will be anything but strictly a one-on-one affair. Therefore, in order to cast terror in the hearts of Balor's stablemates, the former World Heavyweight Champion could invade the villainous faction's infamous dark room.
Wrecking the room and possibly attacking one or more members of The Judgment Day could be a solid way for Priest to remind them that he knows where to find them. That could be a warning stern enough for the heels to keep themselves out of the upcoming grudge match.
#3 Bron Breakker to continue putting names on the dreaded injury list
In terms of injuries, 2024 hasn't been kind to the WWE Superstars on RAW. From Seth Rollins still healing from an injury he incurred in January, to CM Punk being forced to stay out of action for over half a year, the injury list seems to be in contention for the 'heel of the year.'
Now that 'RAW is war,' expect the local medical facilities near WWE arenas to welcome frequent arrivals. If the last few months are any indication, Bron Breakker is among the driving forces for wrestlers' recent trips to 'Hurtville.'
It's true that the reigning Intercontinental Champion has a title defense scheduled for this Monday. But who's to say that he'd be satisfied by simply pinning Jey Uso? Furthermore, what's the guarantee that he'd call it a night after taking out the face of the 'Yeet movement'?
With Adam Pearce no longer bugging him to tone things down, Breakker can easily roam the arena and create havoc left, right, and center.
#2 Sheamus to coin a new definition of taking things 'sportingly'
Despite not involving a championship or securing any PLE spots, the rivalry between Sheamus and Pete Dunne has been a highlight of Monday nights in recent weeks.
The former Brawling Brutes members leave no stone unturned in putting on hard-hitting bouts every time they share the ring. In their most recent encounter, Dunne stole the win after hitting his former mentor with a cricket bat.
Now, if there's one thing about The Celtic Warrior, it's the fact that he'd do everything in his power to get even with the ones on his naughty list. Therefore, it isn't out of the realm of possibility to predict that Sheamus would be eager to issue a receipt to The Bruiserweight as early as the upcoming edition of RAW.
What would be interesting is if the 2012 WWE Royal Rumble winner attacks Dunne with a cricket bat of his own, or turns to the underrated sport of Hurling and gets a Hurley to lay out the 30-year-old star.
#1 CM Punk and Drew McIntyre engage in a gruesome brawl ahead of their Hell in a Cell match at WWE Bad Blood
It goes without saying that CM Punk and Drew McIntyre's saga has been one of the top WWE storylines this year. What's impressive is that their first singles match happened nearly seven months into their heated feud.
Now, they are all set to settle their animosity inside the barbaric Hell in a Cell. However, with WWE Bad Blood still about two weeks away and both Punk and McIntyre being on RAW this Monday, a massive physical confrontation seems to be on the horizon.
Over the last few months, fans have seen The Scottish Warrior and the Second City Saint come up with different ways to get the better of each other. Now, it's time for them to engage in a spine-chilling brawl that spans the ring, the stage, and the backstage area.
If that is indeed the direction for Monday's RAW, then WWE should go a step further and have either one or both the wrestlers bleed. That would be an effective way of reassuring the fans that Punk and McIntyre are bound to put on the most violent Hell in a Cell Match in recent history.
