4 most successful real life brother tag teams in WWE History
Often in Kayfabe, individuals who team together are said to be brothers. Examples include The Dudley Boys, the Brothers of Destruction (Undertaker and Kane), and so on.
WWE has had many real-life brothers walk through the door, some of which have gone on to leave a longlasting impact on professional wrestling. They've taken the tag team division by storm, showing brilliant teamwork, understanding, and chemistry inside the ring.
Here, we take a look at four of the most successful tag teams in wrestling history.
#4 The Wild Samoans
Debuting in 1979, Afa and Sika are distinguished members of the Anoa'i family, who held 21 tag team championships around the world (3 at WWF.)
They paved the way for the rest of the family to enter the business, and Sika is also the father of WWE Superstar Roman Reigns.
The brothers lived up to their name, and rarely spoke during interviews, grunting in a primitive dialect that was understood only by their manager. That didn't matter, though, as them brutalizing their opponents and winning was enough to get their point across!
The Wild Samoans won a lot of gold throughout their careers and were rightfully inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007.
#3 The Steiner Brothers
Considered to be one of the greatest tag teams of all time, Rick and Scott Steiner flourished at WWE (then WWF), WCW, and in Japan.
It can be said that the early 1990s belonged to the duo, with Pro Wrestling Illustrated naming them Tag Team of the Year in 1990 and 1993, and Wrestling Observer doing the same in 1990.
Both of them began their amateur wrestling careers at the University of Michigan, and have since achieved many more accolades and titles.
They are 2 time WWF tag champs, and while Scott Steiner, though a bit controversial found success outside the team as a singles competitor, his older brother Rick didn't have the best singles career.
They may not be inducted into the Hall of Fame as of yet, but they will forever be remembered as a legendary tag team.
