Bruno Sammartino Doc, Darren Young's new project
A new documentary based on the life of WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino is going to be broadcasted soon. The WWE Hall of Famer is best known for his work with the WWE due to awe inspiring title reign, where he held the WWF (World) Heavyweight Championship for over hold-your-breath 11 years (4040 days) across two reigns. The first of which is the longest single reign in the promotions history spannining 2803 days.
His brawling, power moves and personal charisma helped him become the most popular American wrestler in the 1960s through the mid 1980s. He was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by his long time friend Arnold Schwarzenegger on April 6th 2013. The documentary debuts on Sunday May 10 at 4 pm local time. There will be a repeat broadcast at around 8-10 pm local time for the local CW channel. The documentary is being broadcasted by a local CBS affiliate in KDKA in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
Meanwhile Darren Young appears to be working in a documentary on his own. It’s a non-WWE project but seems the company is aware of it as a WWE staffer was present for atleast one of the media appearances that were filmed. He filmed some of the segments in IWF Wrestling School out of New Jersey, reportedly where Young got his start from. His mother and boyfriend were with him during filming. The project is being produced by freelance videographer Drew Chiminec, who also is a former WWE employee.
