Is this the beginning of the end for WWE?
WWE Fastlane ended with Roman Reigns overcoming Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar in a triple threat match and thus, becoming the no 1 contender for Triple H’s WWE world title.
Reigns has had his fair share of haters who feel he was being shoved down their throats and it was widely hoped that WWE would change its plans and allow either Dean Ambrose or Brock Lesnar to win, but alas it was not to be.
Just like the last time when Reigns won a Wrestlemania title shot at the 2015 Royal Rumble, the fans have turned on the product once again and #cancelWWEnetwork trended on twitter. WWE’s inability to listen to and give the fans what they want and Vince McMahon being out of touch, both have once again come back to haunt the company.
In some cases after Fastlane, fans were posting screenshots of their cancellation confirmation as if to prove that they are serious about their threats.
It can turn out to be a major worry for WWE as fans have begun to turn on their golden boy and the Roman Empire once again. Perhaps WWE will realize their mistakes, but it seems unlikely. Clearly, fans have had enough of WWE and its predictability after what was a really bad pay per view.
