Charlotte Flair discusses possibility of women main-eventing WWE shows in Saudi Arabia (Exclusive)
In 2018, WWE’s female Superstars did not travel with the company to the Greatest Royal Rumble and Crown Jewel shows in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier this year, Alexa Bliss and Natalya made the trip to Jeddah in an ambassadorial role ahead of the Super ShowDown event in June, while Lacey Evans and Natalya were involved in the first WWE’s women’s match in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel in October.
Six months prior to Evans and Natalya’s match, Charlotte Flair main-evented WrestleMania 35 against Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey in the first all-female match to go on last at WWE’s biggest show of the year.
Speaking to Sportskeeda’s Alan John during her trip to Bangalore, India, Flair said she could eventually see female Superstars headlining one of WWE’s biannual events in Saudi Arabia.
“I was so jealous [of Evans and Natalya], I wanted to be there! I think so [main-eventing]. The women were there the show before [Super ShowDown] and they didn’t get to perform, then they got to go and they got to perform. So the second time, already that much of a step, from ‘no’ to ‘yes’ to maybe multiple women’s matches, so one hundred percent.”
Regarding a possible opponent if she is chosen to main-event a Saudi show one day, Flair said she would be happy to face anybody on the roster.
