CM Punk and 3 WWE stars who might come to Paul Heyman's aid following SmackDown incident

WWE Friday Night SmackDown aired last night on the FOX Network and it featured some of the most compelling Bloodline-related television in months. In short, the segments featuring the group were must-see.

The ending was especially epic. Solo Sikoa hosted The Bloodline Acknowledgment Ceremony. In doing so, Jacob Fatu was officially made The Enforcer of the group. Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa acknowledged their new Tribal Chief. However, one man did not.

In a move that shocked fans, Paul Heyman refused to acknowledge Sikoa. This received a huge pop from the crowd but led to Heyman being blasted by The Samoan Spike. He was then the recipient of a Triple Powerbomb by the stable through the announce table in an absolutely shocking moment.

Paul Heyman is rarely touched these days and is almost never laid out in such a violent fashion. While Paul has made a lot of enemies, there are some stars who may come to his aid following this brutal incident. This article will take a look at some of the most likely names.

Below are four WWE stars who might come to Paul Heyman's aid following the SmackDown incident.

#4. Jimmy Uso could return to the ring

Jimmy Uso is a decorated athlete who dominated the tag team division of WWE for over a decade alongside his brother Jey. As The Usos, the pair became synonymous for tag team wrestling until Jey went his own path last year.

Unfortunately, Jimmy hasn't been seen on television in nearly three months. He was kicked out of The Bloodline by Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga during the first WWE SmackDown after WrestleMania 40.

While Paul Heyman has many enemies, one man who can side with him is Jimmy Uso. They weren't always on the same page, but in the end, they were aligned. That says Jimmy may come back to aid Paul and get revenge for the assault.

#3. CM Punk and Paul Heyman are friends

CM Punk is one of the most controversial figures in modern wrestling history. He rose to fame in WWE but controversially left in 2014. He then made his return at Survivor Series: WarGames last year.

The Straight Edge Superstar has been friends with Paul Heyman for a long time. It was Heyman who first pushed Punk in WWE and the two were later paired up on-screen. Even recently, the two interacted during an episode of SmackDown.

Heyman made it clear he wanted Punk to save him from The Bloodline, but unfortunately, he was unable to do so. That will likely bother The Voice of the Voiceless and he may return seeking vengeance to make sure that Paul is safe moving forward.

#2. Jey Uso could show up on WWE SmackDown

Just like with Jimmy, Jey Uso is one of the most decorated tag team wrestlers in WWE. In addition to his infamous run with his twin, Jey has also held tag team gold alongside Cody Rhodes. He even once won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Unlike Jimmy and CM Punk, Jey Uso does not get along with Paul Heyman. While they were once in The Bloodline together, Jey left the group last year due to the manipulation from his family and alleged close associates. The two remain at odds in WWE to this very day.

Still, Jey grew up around Paul. While they have their issues, he likely feels sorrow for the Hall of Famer. Not only that, but Jey knows this version of The Bloodline may be too ruthless to exist. As a result, Uso may help Paul for the betterment of the company.

#1. Roman Reigns could save Paul Heyman

Roman Reigns is one of the biggest stars in WWE history. While he had some trouble adjusting to his push early on, he went on to become one of the most interesting characters in the history of the company over the past several years.

The Tribal Chief has been Paul Heyman's closest associate for around four years now. In many ways, the two uniting saved both of their careers and helped kickstart The Bloodline and shaped it into the force it later became.

If anybody is going to stand up for Paul, it will be Roman Reigns. Fans are regularly chanting for The Tribal Chief and want him back in action. What better way for Roman to return than by going after his family and defending Heyman in the process?
