CM Punk to add another stipulation to Hell in a Cell match at WWE Bad Blood? Analyzing the possibility

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre squared off in a high-profile match at WWE SummerSlam 2024. The Scottish Warrior emerged victorious in their first encounter, leading to the rivalry's next bout at Bash in Berlin where the arch nemeses engaged in a brutal Strap Match. This time, it was Punk, who conquered the battle and took back his bracelet.

On the RAW following Bash in Berlin, The Straight Edge Superstar was prepared to leave the former World Heavyweight Champion in the rear-view mirror but an irate McIntyre had other plans. He brutally assaulted CM Punk, broke the bracelet, and shoved the beads in Punk's mouth. This led General Manager Adam Pearce to book a third encounter between them at the upcoming WWE Bad Blood Premium Live Event in a Hell in a Cell match.

CM Punk is set to return tonight on WWE and during his appearance the former AEW star could make an announcement that will add further gravitas to the upcoming showdown. As a second stipulation, The Best in the World can add 'Loser Leaves RAW' to the Hell in a Cell match.

The former WWE Champion's initial motive was to go after the World Heavyweight Champion after assuming the feud with McIntyre was over. If Punk secures the victory at Bad Blood, The Scotsman might not let him move on.

The rivalry will continue its course unless one of them is forced out of WWE RAW. Instead of the Stamford-based promotion doing the deed, a stipulation will allow the natural transition of the defeated superstar to SmackDown.

WWE Hall of Famer suggested another stipulation for CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood

WWE removed Hell in a Cell as a separate premium live event, and will only use the stipulation whenever the need arises. The first Hell in a Cell match took place at Bad Blood 1997. It was expected that the wrestling juggernaut would book one HIAC bout for the returning PLE.

However, on the latest episode of the Busted Open Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray stated that he would have chosen the 'I Quit' match for CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre bout at Bad Blood.

"To me, this is such a personal issue with Drew and Punk, around the bracelet and things like that, the breaking in the bracelet. Yada yada, there is nothing more humiliating than a man having to say 'I quit' to another man."

There is a high probability WWE will give the superstars different directions after Bad Blood, which is scheduled for October 5, 2024.
