CM Punk lashes out at WWE comment, Owens's status, HIAC promo and more

- CM Punk and his verbal outbursts were what made him the top guy in the WWE. Whenever he sees himself accused of being in the wrong, he makes it a point to voice his views and clear the air.

The New York Mets fan twitter account recently took a pot shot at 'The best in the world' by questioning his allegiance with the Chicago Cubs by comparing it to his WWE career. They questioned as to whether Punk would abandon Chicago Cubs just like he did in the case of WWE, which drew an angry response from Punk. Punk flipped out and unleashed an angry response to the comment by branding them childish and used a few expletives in the process. Below are the tweets:

- Kevin Owens has quickly risen as a star to be reckoned with and the WWE are aware of how much of an asset he is in the larger scheme of things. According to reports, Owens was given the weekend off from live events due to some personal reasons. The Intercontinental Champion was advertised to face the star he won it from, Ryback, in a live event in Lubbock, Texas, but he did not show up. 

According to latest updates, Owens just missed Saturday’s event in Lubbock and was present and in action for Sunday’s show in Abilene. He faced ‘The Big Guy’ in an intercontinental title match which he lost via disqualification but did not lose the title. Owens revealed the reason for his absence in a post on Twitter:

- The official theme song for the Hell In a Cell pay-per-view is called ‘Cut The Cord’ by Shinedown.The WWE’s music wing, WWE music posted a preview of the upcoming pay-per-view by posting this video with the official theme song:

The Hell In a Cell card is headlined by the feud ending spectacle inside the steel structure between Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar, which is sure to be an epic finale. The rest of the card includes Kane facing Rollins is a World title match, a tag team titles match between New Day and the Dudleys, Charlotte squaring off against Nikki Bella for the Divas title and Owens defending his title against Ryback.

The second Hell In a Cell match would also see the culmination of the Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt feud. The kick-off show is packed with an unusually huge matchup featuring Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose going up against Braun Strowman and Luke Harper. As far as  Cena’s U.S. title is concerned, his opponent for HIAC has not been announced as of yet and expect these unanswered questions to be addressed on this week’s RAW.
