CM Punk's favor to lead to epic reunion and unexpected heel turn? Chances explored
On this past Monday night, CM Punk made his triumphant return to RAW, and he made one thing very clear. The Second City Saint has now set his sights on main-eventing WrestleMania 41 and is pretty confident he can achieve that. Why? Well, apart from being The Best in The World, Punk also has a favor to seek from Paul Heyman. But could this favor also lead to an epic reunion and an unexpected heel turn?
The answer to that question is 'yes,' it is a possibility. Having helped the OG Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames, CM Punk is now owed a favor from Paul Heyman. Considering his lofty ambitions, there may come a time when he needs to cash in that favor. However, under certain circumstances, this favor could lead to an epic Shield reunion and The Voice of The Voiceless shockingly turning heel.
To paint the picture, while the WWE Universe did learn about CM Punk's intent to headline WrestleMania, it also learned that Seth Rollins wants a piece of him. Now, from the looks of it, The Visionary will stop at nothing to get his hands on Punk. So, to avoid that, The Straight Edge Superstar may call Heyman and force him to get Roman Reigns to deal with the OTC's former Shield "brother!"
This could lead to a tense situation at some point in the near future, with Reigns forced to make a choice: honor his Wiseman's word or turn a new leaf and spare the man he once called "brother." In this scenario, he could shockingly join forces with Rollins, leading to an enraged Punk turning heel. But at the end of the day, this is nothing more than speculation.
Roman Reigns and CM Punk showed respect for one another at Survivor Series: WarGames
Whether or not CM Punk tries to get Roman Reigns involved in his deal with The Wiseman remains to be seen. But as of now, there seems to be some mutual respect between the two former world champions. Tensions were high before and during the Men's WarGames Match. However, the eventual result seems to have defused them.
Punk and the OG Bloodline delivered a crushing blow to Solo Sikoa and the New Bloodline last weekend. Winning the match meant a lot to Reigns, who has been struggling since losing his place at the Head of the Table. So, when all was said and done, he offered a hand to The Best in The World, leading to a respectful handshake between the two.
It will be interesting to see how things proceed from here on. As of now, there is an understanding between The Second City Saint and the OTC, but that can all change in seconds. Who knows? It may even depend on what exactly CM Punk's favor is.
