CM Punk talks Vince McMahon and what he would say to him, Dana White on Punk reaction, AJ Lee
As you can tell, CM Punk has been doing the media rounds today and did interviews for HuffPost Live, Opie With Jim Norton, CBS Sports Radio and more. AJ Lee was with Punk today during his media tour. In the video above, Punk talks to Boomer & Carton about his new career in the UFC.
- You can listen to Punk on CBS Sports radio here. During the interview, Punk was asked about Vince McMahon firing him on his wedding day.
"I'm over it," Punk said. "I haven't talked to him. He hasn't reached out. I haven't reached out either. At this point, I'm just moving on with my life."
Punk was also asked how he'd react if Vince walked into the room right now.
"I don't know," Punk replied. "I know stuff like this is going to follow me for the rest of my life, and that's what it is. I can't hide from my past. I'm not ashamed of it. I'm not embarrassed. I'm proud of everything I've done. I think it's a pretty well-known fact that I don't have a lot of nice things to say. That's why I try not to say much."
- UFC President Dana White spoke about signing Punk on the latest UFC Download, which you can check out here. White discussed the reaction to the signing and said that the feedback has been mixed.
"Some people love it, some people hate it," White said. "The people who are opposed to it and b---hing about it, I get it. Every fight that we do isn't going to be everybody's thing, but there will be people who want to watch him and those that don't.
"He and I have become friends and he told me, 'I've achieved some cool things in my life and I want to try the UFC. It's not like I'm young enough to fight my way up in the smaller leagues. I'd like to come in and give it a shot and see what I got.'"
