CM Punk went off script to anger major stars; two unfortunate injuries - 3 things we learned about the Bloodline WarGames Match after Survivor Series
The final Premium Live Event of the year, Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, is officially in the history books. The show went off-air with Roman Reigns' OG Bloodline alongside CM Punk standing tall on the ramp after conquering Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline in the WarGames match.
The thrilling match was the most anticipated on the card, and fans had high expectations. It undoubtedly lived up to the hype, with the men involved in the contest pulling off some scary moves to try and clinch the win for their respective teams at any cost.
In this article, we'll look at three things we learned about The Bloodline WarGames match following the conclusion of this year's Survivor Series Premium Live Event.
#3. Bronson Reed and Jimmy Uso were injured
The competitors involved in the match were willing to risk it all to deliver a spectacular performance, but they paid a massive price. Bronson Reed and Jimmy Uso played significant roles in the match, performing some jaw-dropping maneuvers.
Jimmy Uso took a risky leap from the top of the steel structure. However, fans suspected that he might have landed poorly and hurt himself. Later, During the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 post-show press conference, Jey Uso confirmed that Jimmy had broken his toe while performing the splash from the top.
Bronson Reed also risked himself by climbing the steel structure to perform a Tsunami on Roman Reigns and paid the price. He landed awkwardly on the mat directly on his ankles while also going through the table. According to a report from Fightful Select, the Aussie superstar injured one or possibly both ankles.
#2. CM Punk reportedly had an unscripted moment during OG Bloodline vs The Bloodline match
CM Punk made his in-ring return at Survivor Series WarGames 2024 for the first time since beating Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood 2024. Before the high-stakes match, Punk had an unscripted moment, which even confused fans about whether they had seen a kayfabe or unscripted moment take place ahead of the bout.
As The Best in the World made his entrance, he shoved Bronson Reed, who was locked inside the shark cage, which angered the former North American Champion, who tried to catch Punk. Amid this, WWE cut the screen to black.
After the event, according to a report from Ibou of WrestlePurists, the segment was unplanned and not part of the script; it was something he did out of instinct.
#1. Jacob Fatu was not injured
Following two unfortunate injuries, fans grew concerned about Jacob Fatu’s health as he was seen limping after the match. However, Corey Brennan of Fightful confirmed that the 32-year-old was fine and was just selling the injury as part of the storyline.
Jacob Fatu played a vital role for Solo Sikoa's side, and it took Jimmy Uso's big splash from the top of the structure to keep him down before the OG Bloodline could secure the win.
