CM Punk wins his first WWE singles match in 3876 days, Title before Roman Reigns? 4 things Triple H subtly told on RAW this week
Triple H booked an action-packed show for WWE RAW this week. The episode saw several stars steal the spotlight with their in-ring performances. Additionally, a new match was added to the Bash in Berlin card. The latest edition of the flagship show also dropped major hints at The Game's potential plans for the roster.
Here, we look at four things Triple H subtly told us on WWE RAW this week. So, without further ado, let's begin:
#4. CM Punk finally gets even with Drew McIntyre?
The storied rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre is far from over. The two superstars have been involved in an intense feud that has frequently seen The Scottish Warrior make things deeply personal for his nemesis. After attacking McIntyre on RAW last week, The Best in The World returned on the Monday Night Show last night and challenged McIntyre to a massive Strap Match at Bash in Berlin.
The latter accepted, setting up their rematch from SummerSlam earlier this month. That bout ended with McIntyre picking up the win. Considering the Strap Match is Punk's idea, he is likely prepared to get one over The Scottish Warrior. Thus, we may see The Second City Saint beat McIntyre in Berlin and pick up his first win in the Stamford-based company after 3876 days.
Notably, Punk's last singles victory on WWE TV came against Billy Gunn on the January 20, 2014, episode of RAW.
#3. Triple H to fix a mistake with The New Judgment Day?
The New Judgment Day has failed to replicate the dominance they enjoyed when Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley were part of the faction. The Terror Twins now stand against their former group. However, Finn Balor and Co. initially struggled to find their footing against Ripley and Priest on RAW. Their rivalry appeared one-sided over the last couple of weeks, which enraged many in the WWE Universe.
The latest episode of the red brand saw Triple H restore balance in this storyline by allowing The New Judgment Day to get the better of Priest and Ripley. The Archer of Infamy was scheduled to lock horns with Dominik Mysterio last night. However, the heel faction blindsided him with an attack during his entrance.
Ripley appeared, and The Terror Twins showed customary dominance before Liv Morgan attacked The Nightmare with a steel chair. As Morgan laid waste to Mami, the rest of The Judgment Day annihilated The Punisher inside the ring. This segment was important for Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan ahead of their Mixed Tag Team Match against Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley at Bash in Berlin.
#2. The New Day's inevitable breakup on WWE RAW
Xavier Woods has shown his discomfort with Kofi Kingston getting close to Odyssey Jones. This week on RAW, the former King of the Ring expressed his concerns over Big E potentially being replaced by Jones.
Later, Xavier was seen visibly hurt when Kingston tagged his new friend during the six-man tag team match against The Final Testament. Although Woods is seemingly coming around to the idea of The New Day taking Jones under their wings, the 30-year-old's presence is seemingly bound to cause problems.
Now that The New Day has defeated the Final Testament, the storyline could shift towards the tension between Kingston and Woods to lay the groundwork for the legendary team's breakup on WWE RAW.
#1. Potential plans for Main Event Jey Uso
Jey Uso has been one of the biggest singles stars on WWE RAW in the past few months, but The YEET Master has yet to win a singles championship, which was the driving force of his narrative when he left The Bloodline.
Jey recently teased a potential reunion with Sami Zayn and expressed his desire to go after the World Tag Team Title, but the former Intercontinental Champion is now on a break. Many speculated Jey Uso would help Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley against The Judgment Day. Meanwhile, WWE Universe is eagerly awaiting his reunion with Roman Reigns.
However, it appears that all those plans would be put on hold first to give Jey Uso his much-deserved singles title. He is set to compete in the tournament commencing on RAW next week. The tournament will determine the next challenger for Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker.
Triple H could book a shocking title change to give Jey Uso a singles title before The YEET Master eventually re-enters The Bloodline saga and reunites with Roman Reigns.
