Cody Rhodes to face 6'5" icon in the main event of WrestleMania 41 instead of Roman Reigns? Exploring recent report

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns have locked horns with each other in the last two WrestleMania main events. There has been a buzz around their trilogy match at next year's Show of Shows in Vegas. However, it looks like WWE is leaning towards another massive bout for The American Nightmare.

Cody Rhodes overcame the odds and finished his story by defeating The Head of the Table at WrestleMania 40 Night Two earlier this year. Rhodes went against The Bloodline, including The Rock on the Road to 'Mania, and on the main event of Night One, The American Nightmare, alongside Seth Rollins, failed to defeat the team of Roman Reigns and The Great One. While the former AEW star won against Reigns the next night, the 6'5" icon warned Cody on the following night's episode of RAW, stating he would come back for him as their story had just begun.

The Rock shocked the world with his return during the closing moments of the 2024 Bad Blood Premium Live Event. While The Final Boss didn't utter a single word as he stood on the entrance ramp, he simply counted to three with his fingers and made a slit-throat gesture.

Many fans and pundits predict that The Great One targeted Roman Reigns because he teamed up with Cody Rhodes. However, Xero News recently reported that The Rock will face Rhodes in a singles match at next year's WrestleMania.

A fan asked whether the Stamford-based company would book a Triple Threat match between Reigns, Rhodes, and The Rock; in response, the source declined and noted it would be a singles bout between The American Nightmare and The Final Boss.

Cody Rhodes claims WrestleMania 41 will be the biggest of all time

Next year's WrestleMania will mark the 41st edition of The Showcase of The Immortal, and with each passing year, WWE has been raising the bar for hosting an even grander and better 'Mania.

WrestleMania 41 will take place on April 19 and 20, 2025, inside the grand Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. The American Nightmare is the favorite to main event the event. Recently, Cody Rhodes dropped an easter egg that suggests something big is in store for next year's Showcase of The Immortals. The current Undisputed WWE Champion noted that the premium live event will be the biggest 'Mania ever.

It will be intriguing to see what the Stamford-based promotion has in store for WrestleMania 41 and who Cody will face.
