Cody Rhodes to get betrayed by his closest allies after WWE Bad Blood? Exploring why it's likely to happen

Cody Rhodes could get betrayed by two of his closest friends after WWE Bad Blood. Unfortunately, Rhodes himself could be the reason for his downfall in this situation.

Over the past four years, no one has tried to finish off the Bloodline more than Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens. However, The Viper and KO could soon turn on Rhodes and attack him after Bad Blood.

Last week on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu challenged Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes to a tag team match at Bad Blood. Initially, Roman Reigns was ready to face The Bloodline members by himself because the Undisputed WWE Champion wasn't interested. However, by the end of the night, the former rivals signed the contract to face The Bloodline.

This could piss off Rhodes' friends. Kevin Owens, who lost out on becoming World Champion many times because of the villainous stable, is one of the oldest warriors in The Bloodline war. As for Randy Orton, Reigns and his cousins cost him almost two years of his career.

Cody Rhodes teaming up with Roman Reigns could piss them off big time. We could see a major confrontation among the three on WWE SmackDown this Friday. This would eventually lead to them attacking The American Nightmare and the Original Tribal Chief after Bad Blood.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns teaming up could start two more future storylines for the WWE Champion

Last month at Bash in Berlin, Kevin Owens faced Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship but failed to win the title. While that match felt like a one-off, it may not be one.

If Orton and Owens do attack Rhodes post-WWE Bad Blood, this could be the start of two new storylines. It could start with Cody and Kevin battling for the Undisputed WWE Championship over the next few months.

Moving ahead, the months leading up to WrestleMania 41 could see Rhodes defend his title against Randy Orton. The Viper is on a quest for his 15th World Championship, and a turn on Rhodes on SmackDown after Bad Blood could be the perfect way to continue.

Once these two prospective rivalries end, it could lead Rhodes to the WrestleMania 41 main event. He could either defend his title against Roman Reigns to complete the trilogy or against The Rock.

On the RAW after WrestleMania XL, The Rock promised to return and handle business with The American Nightmare. WrestleMania 41 could be when he takes care of his unfinished business.
