Cody Rhodes to move on as The Bloodline falls apart, new champion? 4 crushing betrayals that can happen on WWE SmackDown premiere

WWE has a massive show planned for the SmackDown season premiere on the USA Network this Friday. In the upcoming episode, the biggest names on the blue brand will compete in high-stakes matches. However, the show could also feature one too many heartbreaking betrayals, ending long-term alliances and potentially friendships inspired by real-life equations.

Here, we look at four major betrayals Triple H may have planned for WWE SmackDown this week. So, without further ado, let's begin.

#1. Cody Rhodes gets attacked by a former friend

SmackDown's season premiere will see Cody Rhodes put his Undisputed WWE Championship in a Steel Cage Match. The American Nightmare is set to defend his gold against Solo Sikoa and hopefully end his feud with The Bloodline. This match may see Roman Reigns, and potentially Jimmy Uso, make a surprise return and attack Sikoa to cost him the title opportunity again, setting up The Bloodline Civil War.

It would leave the champion to pursue other compelling title feuds on the blue brand. However, Cody could fall victim to a massive betrayal if Randy Orton turns on him. The Viper may appear to stop other Bloodline members from interfering but could strike his friend out of nowhere. Many have expected Kevin Owens to turn heel, and he could also be the one to put a knife in Cody Rhodes' back.

#2. Grayson Waller turns on Austin Theory

For weeks, the WWE creative team has teased tension between Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Theory questioned Waller for the first time recently, and their tag team run may finally end on the blue brand this week. A-Town Down Under is set to lock horns with Kevin Owens in a tag team match.

We may see Randy Orton join KO and beat A-Town Down Under. If Waller again pushes Theory in harm's way and the latter takes the loss, we may see the two friends brawl. It would split up the former Tag Team Champions while setting up Theory's long-awaited face turn.

#3. Tiffany Stratton cashes in her Money in the Bank contract on SmackDown this week

Tiffany Stratton has become a close friend of WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax on SmackDown, even helping the Queen of the Ring win the title. However, she was caught slipping for a moment when Jax was defending her title against Michin in a street fight. It looked like Ms. Money in the Bank was about to cash in but changed her mind after being spotted.

last week, Nia Jax attempted to help Stratton in her match against Bayley, but the latter walked out with a win. The failed attempt to assist may poke Stratton to cash in her MITB contract on Jax and dethrone her to become the new WWE Women's Champion on SmackDown.

#4. Jacob Fatu betrays Solo Sikoa on SmackDown

Jacob Fatu's return immediately helped Solo Sikoa-run Bloodline take out Roman Reigns. However, The Bloodline leader took Fatu's Tag Team Title in the following weeks and handed it to Tonga Loa recently. Sikoa also took Fatu's shot at the World Championship when Cody Rhodes offered to defend his title against The Samoan Warewolf.

We could see Jacob Fatu turn on Solo Sikoa during the latter's title match against Cody Rhodes on SmackDown this week. WWE could book an angle where Roman Reigns could be seen reaching out to Jacob Fatu behind the scenes and formed a secret alliance to plan his first blow at Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline.
