Cody Rhodes to be pinned before Roman Reigns returns? - 4 WWE Superstars who desperately need to win at Money in the Bank

The Money in the Bank 2024 match card has shaped up into an interesting affair, with several exciting clashes booked for the show. Every WWE Superstar scheduled for their match at the upcoming Premium Live Event will look to walk out of the show with the win.

However, there are a few names who need to win more than the others. From career-defining victories to the right twist in the biggest storylines, a lot depends on the results and whom it should favor.

Here, we look at four WWE Superstars who desperately need to win their matches at Money in the Bank. So, without further ado, let's begin.

#1. Damian Priest could lose more than his championship at Money in the Bank

Damian Priest is set to put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank. The Architect raised the stakes of their bout when he proposed a gentleman's bet according to which he wouldn't challenge for the title again should he lose at MITB, for as long as Priest is the champion.

However, if Rollins wins the title, the Archer of Infamy would have to leave The Judgment Day. Rollins can afford to lose the match as he would quickly return to the title picture when it changes hands. However, Priest needs to win for his storyline with The Judgment Day. He either leaves despite winning or chooses them after losing, leading to a massive betrayal from the group at the show.

#2. Solo Sikoa needs to pin Cody Rhodes for The Bloodline

Solo Sikoa set a target on Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, and the two have been involved in a bitter rivalry on SmackDown. The American Nightmare found trustful allies in Kevin Owens and Randy Orton who are currently feuding with The Bloodline's Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. WWE recently confirmed that Solo Sikoa, along with Tonga and Loa or Jacob Fatu, will lock horns with Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens at Money in the Bank. The new Tribal Chief needs to win this match.

A victory would allow him to challenge Cody Rhdoes for the title at SummerSlam which could set up the perfect opportunity for Roman Reigns' return. The Bloodline has a history of picking up victories using underhanded means and with the recent introduction of Jacob Fatu, the creative team could protect the champion even if his team loses. A win via interference would also add to Solo's dominant run during which he has repeatedly tried to do everything Reigns did but with added brutality.

#3. Jey Uso wins the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Jey Uso has been incredible during his singles run and deserves a championship before he eventually reunites with Jimmy Uso. He was the first WWE Superstar to qualify for the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Although there are several other deserving names, potentially including Drew McIntyre, who could use the win at MITB.

But Jey Uso may make the best use of the Money in the Bank briefcase. He is a top babyface who would get an epic reaction when he cashes in for the title, and it would likely give him the long-awaited world championship reign. The briefcase would also allow him to move between RAW and SmackDown just in time for Reigns' return.

#4. Chelsea Green must win the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Chelsea Green has done a brilliant job with her on-screen character since returning to WWE. She has also enjoyed a successful run with Piper Niven on SmackDown. Last week, Green picked up a huge win to book her spot in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match.

Although three more stars will added to the six-person bout, Green must be the one to ultimately unhook the briefcase. Her current on-screen persona is the right fit for an MITB contract, and it would allow her to pull off several entertaining segments before she eventually cashes in on the guaranteed title opportunity.
