Controversial WWE figure leaves the company

WWE posted a job listing today for Social Media Manager confirming that the previous holder of the designation Cody Barbierri, the employee who had an altercation with Alberto Del Rio, leading to the former champion’s WWE release has left the company. Barbierri was said to have made a racist joke in reaction to which Del Rio slapped him.

PWInsider confirms that Barbierri left WWE earlier this month. The details of his departure are not public knowledge yet. Barbierri had been working with the WWE since September 2012 and is now working as an independent social media consultant.
