Could 17-time champion make a surprise appearance on WWE RAW to confront CM Punk after over a decade? Potential explored
Tonight's edition of Monday Night RAW will be a blockbuster show as CM Punk returns to WWE television after a long time. The fans are on the edge of their seats, as their excitement is at an all-time high to witness the Best In The World at Allstate Arena in Chicago.
WWE could pull off a major surprise on the show tonight as a 17-time champion could make a surprise appearance and confront CM Punk. The name in question is The Rock. The two superstars have a long history with each other and a confrontation between the two would give rise to a huge pop.
Besides, the Straight Edge Superstar recently berated The Great One during the WrestleMania XL Press Conference in Las Vegas. Punk, who was the host of the event, wanted Cody Rhodes to hit back at The Rock after the latter slapped The American Nightmare right in the face.
The 45-year-old also vented out his frustrations with how the Hollywood star used his authoritarian power to steal the main event of WrestleMania 40 from Rhodes. However, The People's Champ never got the opportunity to respond to the remarks made by the Second City Saint during the press conference.
With CM Punk returning to RAW tonight, The Rock has a very good reason to show up and confront his former nemesis after almost a decade since their epic rivalry in WWE in 2013.
Possibility of The Rock making a surprise appearance to confront CM Punk on RAW
The Rock has been making quite a few appearances on SmackDown lately, as he is involved in one of the biggest storylines going on in WWE. However, the possibility of him making a surprise appearance on RAW is quite low.
WWE has already advertised The Great One for the April 1, 2024 edition of Monday Night RAW. Therefore, the prospect of him making an unannounced appearance on the red brand tonight is quite an unlikely scenario.
Apart from this, The Rock's involvement in a segment with CM Punk seems implausible, as it would look redundant since he is already involved in a separate storyline with Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes.
While The Great One confronting Punk would be a fascinating idea given the bad blood between them, the possibility of it happening on RAW tonight is comparatively low.
