Current reported plans for WWE SummerSlam

‘The biggest event of the summer’, WWE SummerSlam is just around the corner and the WWE creative are certainly looking to put a few twists and turns to make the event a grand success.

Here is the list of reported backstage news with respect to SummerSlam.

1. The WWE is looking to turn Ziggler ‘face’ and have scheduled a Dolph Ziggler vs. Big E Langston match for SummerSlam. Initially a Mark Henry – Langston feud was on the cards. However, they seem to have zeroed in the friends turning foe’s idea between Ziggler and Big E.

2. The Wyatt Family, who took the WWE by storm when they attacked Kane last week on WWE RAW, are most likely to be booked in a six-man tag match at SummerSlam. They are tipped to face Kane and two other partners, who are yet to be determined. The Undertaker will not be a part of SummerSlam after he got injured during his feud with The Shield.

3. United States champion Dean Ambrose will most likely defend his title against returning superstar Christian. The latter has been away from the title picture far too long and what better way to resume it than with a U.S title shot at SummerSlam.

4. Shield members Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns will also most likely defend their tag team titles against the pair of either Randy Orton and Sheamus or the team of Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger.

5. As reported earlier, a McMahon family feud is booked for Wrestlemania XXX and the proceedings are about to take shape at SummerSlam. This battle for ‘power’ between the managerial big wigs of the WWE could well prove a powerful storyline for Wrestlemania.

6. Another top match that could be on the cards is the one between the Paul Heyman guys CM Punk and Brock Lesnar, who made a surprise return and attacked Punk after his match against Del Rio a few weeks ago on RAW. With Paul Heyman playing a pivotal role in this epic match, SummerSlam would certainly be a treat for wrestling fans.

7. With Sandow winning the MITB , his partnership with Cody Rhodes seems all but over. Rumours are now doing rounds that Damien Sandow will most probably defend his briefcase against Cody Rhodes at this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view. Rhodes has been out of the title picture for a long time now and this could help him regain his status.

8. A match between John Cena and Daniel Bryan was always been on the cards and it has been confirmed that the two will feud over the WWE title at SummerSlam. This is also the main event for the PPV.
