Current WWE champion to ruin Bianca Belair's Queen of the Ring dreams? Exploring why it's likely
This Friday on WWE SmackDown, Bianca Belair and Nia Jax will face off as they battle to be the blue brand's representative in the final of the Queen of the Ring tournament in Saudi Arabia this Saturday.
One person who will not be holding the crown this weekend is Belair's teammate and fellow tag team champion Jade Cargill. The powerhouse lost to Nia Jax on SmackDown last week after she hit her opponent with a steel chair, forcing her to lose by disqualification. What followed was an attempted assault from Nia Jax towards Jade Cargill, with her young daughter also watching at ringside.
Despite seeming to be on the same page, Cargill may look to cost Bianca her spot in the final this weekend after she didn't help her against Jax last week.
Since Cargill arrived in WWE, fans have wanted to see Bianca and Jade face off in a one-on-one match, and despite many enjoying their run as a team, their singles feud is what many are waiting to see.
Jade Cargill on teaming with Bianca Belair
At Backlash in France earlier this month, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defeated Damage CTRL to win the Women's Tag Team Championships. Having won the TBS Championship in All Elite Wrestling, many expected her to be working as a top singles star once she arrived in WWE.
During a recent interview on the Ringside podcast, Jade Cargill spoke about how it has been teaming up with Bianca Belair.
"It feels great, I would’ve never thought that I would have a belt with Bianca Belair. I’ve also done a solo run, so for me to be in a tag team, it’s something that I’ve never done before and it’s such a challenge. I’ve always been solo, I’ve always been selfish, I’ve always been about myself so this is a new leaf for me and a challenge to go in here and work with someone that is great and that has been to the top and accomplished major things in this industry."
At just 31 years of age and having only been in the company for under a year, Jade Cargill has already won what she hopes will be the first of many championships as she looks to establish herself as one of the biggest names in WWE.
