Dakota Kai turns heel, Attacks Tegan Nox during WarGames match
They say that war changes you, but change came for Dakota Kai even before she took part in tonight's first-ever women's WarGames match in NXT TakeOver: WarGames. Even before the PPV started, a mystery assailant took out Mia Yim from behind and made her unable to compete in the match as a part of Rhea Ripley's team against Shayna Baszler's team.
Dakota Kai, who lost her opportunity to make into Ripley's team a few weeks ago was then chosen by The Nightmare to replace Yim. When the time came for Kai to make her way into the ring by coming out of the cage, she shocked the WWE Universe by attacking her good friend Tegan Nox who was inside the cage as well.
She continued the assault by dragging Nox's arm through the cage's bars and then proceeded to remove the brace from Nox's knee that was injured almost a year ago. As the crowd in Allstate Arena and Rhea Ripley and Candice LeRae continued to look at Kai's heinous actions in utter disbelief, The Queen of Spades enjoyed the situation from inside her cage.
Even when NXT GM William Regal came in to stop Kai from attacking, she shoved him away. She then left the stage after leaving Nox unable to compete in the match.
WWE Superstar Samoa Joe who has been out of action for a few months now due to a finger injury and who himself is a reputed heel took a liking to Kai's new change in character.
However, WWE announcer Kayla Braxton did not like Kai's actions and requested to put Kai in time out.
