Damian Priest to leave the red brand, New Judgment Day to be formed?—4 Directions for The Archer of Infamy after shocking loss on WWE RAW

WWE Monday Night RAW aired last night on the USA Network. The show is in a bit of a lame duck phase, as the red brand will be moving to Netflix in January. In addition to that, the weekly product has been cut back from three hours a week to just two.

Still, Monday Night RAW is keeping things fresh with some big matches and moments. One of the most shocking and memorable moments of the night took place in the main event when Damian Priest went one-on-one with Dominik Mysterio.

The Judgment Day interfered despite Dominik Mysterio seemingly wishing for them not to. This interference proved to be successful, as Dirty Dom quickly rolled Priest up and shockingly defeated the former World Heavyweight Champion.

Now that Damian has lost in what is arguably the biggest upset of his career, what comes next for the big man? This article will look at a handful of possible directions for The Archer of Infamy following his shocking loss last night.

Below are four directions for Damian Priest after his shocking loss on WWE RAW.

#4. Damian Priest could form a new version of The Judgment Day

Damian's loss proves that numbers mean something in WWE. It is rare for a star to succeed on their own in the Sports Entertainment juggernaut when the numbers are against them. Priest knows this all too well, so he might form a new version of The Judgment Day to watch his back moving forward.

For starters, Carlito could be a member. While The Punisher was initially annoyed by the former United States Champion, they were seemingly on the same page before Priest's exit. With the group now seemingly disliking the "cool" star, Carlito leaving for Priest's version of the stable seems possible.

Beyond that, Rhea Ripley is an obvious pick. Granted, they seemingly agreed to go their own way recently, but The Terror Twins could reunite. Lastly, someone like Ilja Dragunov, once back from injury, could be recruited.

#3. He could go after Bron Breakker and the Intercontinental Title

Bron Breakker is one of the brightest prospects in WWE. Immediately upon joining NXT, he was pegged to be a future WrestleMania main eventer. The 27-year-old went on to hold the NXT Championship twice and the NXT Tag Team Titles.

Fast forward to joining the main roster, and Bron is already a two-time and current WWE Intercontinental Champion. He initially defeated Sami Zayn to win the prized gold at SummerSlam but later dropped it to Jey Uso on RAW last month. However, The Dog of WWE regained the title on the October 21 edition of the flagship show.

Bron will inevitably need new challengers now that he has gotten past Main Event Jey Uso. Damian could be the one to step up. While he's held the United States Championship, the World Heavyweight Title, and the North American Championship, the legendary Intercontinental Title has eluded The Archer of Infamy until now. Could that change soon?

#2. Damian Priest could go one-on-one with Finn Balor to determine the next number one contender

Dominik Mysterio has made it clear that he wants a shot at Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship. While most WWE fans, and likely the wrestlers, laugh at the notion of Dirty Dom holding gold, his win over Priest may have earned him a future championship opportunity.

One person who seemed quite resentful over this is Finn Balor. The Irish Ace has made no bones about the fact that he wants to become world champion again. Once Dirty Dom inevitably fails to win Gunther's title, The Prince will likely try to win it.

Damian could stay in the title picture after his loss to Dominik and race Finn to Gunther. In fact, The Demon and The Archer of Infamy could go one-on-one to crown the next number one contender after Mysterio. This could, in theory, lead Damian to the SummerSlam rematch against The Ring General that he desperately wants.

#1. He could quit WWE Monday Night RAW

While Dominik Mysterio is a former North American Champion and a SmackDown Tag Team Champion, he is not somebody fans consider particularly credible or threatening as a main event star.

Hence, there is a very real chance that the former World Heavyweight Champion must be feeling humiliated after his defeat to the mustached superstar. The 42-year-old could be so embarrassed that he might not want to show his face on WWE RAW again.

Instead, Damian could shockingly quit the red brand. He could then move to SmackDown or even back to NXT to refresh himself and leave the stink of such a crushing loss behind him. Potentially, he could challenge Trick Williams or LA Knight to win some gold instead of chasing Gunther.
