Damian Priest is a professional wrestler of Puerto Rican origin. He currently wrestles for the Raw roster and won his first WWE main roster championship at WWE SummerSlam 2021 by defeating Sheamus, making him the new United States Champion. He has defended his title impressively against top wrestlers such as Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler. In addition to his success in WWE, Damian Priest has also wrestled for Ring of Honor (ROH) as “Punishment Martinez.” He held the ROH World Television Championship once and has also worked in Japan as “Punisher Martinez” through the ROH and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) partnership.

Damian Priest's father was a martial artist, and he learned Goju-ryu from him, winning two national championships in full-contact martial arts before pursuing professional wrestling. He started his training at the Monster Factory and won multiple titles there. Between 2015 and 2018, he competed under his real name, Luis Martinez, in ROH and later changed his ring name to “Damian Martinez.” After losing the United States Championship to Finn Balor in 2022, he turned heel and joined the Judgment Day faction.

At WrestleMania 37, Damian Priest teamed up with Bad Bunny, and on the Raw after the event, he confronted Dominik, Bad Bunny's former tag team partner. This confrontation led to a chokeslam through the announcer's table by Damian Priest. On the April 24 episode of Raw, Bad Bunny returned and challenged Priest to a San Juan street fight at Backlash.
