Damian Priest to recruit surprise superstar to the Judgment Day to replace star? Exploring the possibility
Damian Priest is in the middle of a great run as the World Heavyweight Champion but has found himself at odds with a member of his faction repeatedly. Now, he may just decide to pull the trigger and replace him with another star of his own choice.
For a while now, Finn Balor and Damian Priest have been going at it with each other, but under the surface. Several of their confrontations have been hostile initially until they calmed down. As a result, there’s been a slow rift in The Judgment Day. Balor has been making several decisions where he’s openly going against what Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest say, and coercing Dominik Mysterio to do the same. This could ultimately lead to a turn of events where Pete Dunne joins the group.
With that being the case, Damian Priest may make the decision that it’s time to add a new star to The Judgment Day. There are several possible candidates for this, and he could kick out Finn Balor as well.
Pete Dunne has been sitting by the sidelines while starting a feud with Sheamus. He felt betrayed at being abandoned by The Celtic Warrior when the Brawling Brutes fell apart. Since then he’s teamed with Tyler Bate, but the star has not been around for some time as well thanks to an injury.
With that being the case, Priest being who he is, could use Dunne’s insecurities to bring him into The Judgment Day while kicking out Balor. Dunne would also get the boost of support from the rest of the faction which may help him get the wins that he’s been looking for, while also battling Sheamus.
Damian Priest vs Finn Balor seems inevitable after he leaves The Judgment Day
Priest and Balor are sure to get into a feud sooner than later. Whether it comes through a betrayal by Balor, or because he was kicked out of the Judgment Day remains to be seen.
The two stars are bound to feud against each other at some point, but first, Priest will have to retain his title against Gunther in the coming event, which will be a task in itself.
The coming weeks should reveal more about how this scenario can play out.
