Dangerous champion, beloved superstar? 4 feuds for Randy Orton on WWE NXT

WWE NXT is on fire right now. The brand just introduced the incredibly talented Giulia, and there is a belief that the likes of Stephanie Vaquer and The Motor City Machine Guns will soon be joining the show.

As if that isn't enough, NXT will soon be moving to The CW. With the move, the developmental brand will have two massive episodes from Chicago and St. Louis on October 1 and 8, 2024, respectively.

In what is a massive announcement, Randy Orton will be competing at the marquee show in St. Louis. This is a big deal, as The Viper hasn't competed on the white and gold brand for around a decade.

While there is a chance that this will be a one-off and Randy won't appear on NXT again any time soon, this could lead to The Apex Predator sticking around for some time. This article will take a look at a handful of feuds that Orton could have if he does indeed stick around on the developmental brand.

Let's look at the four possible feuds for Randy Orton on WWE NXT:

#4. He will already be clashing with Je'Von Evans on WWE NXT

Je'Von Evans is one of the youngest superstars in WWE history. Evans, 20, has already made an immediate splash on NXT. He even co-headlined a major NXT Premium Live Event earlier this year.

The bouncy superstar got big news during this week's Tuesday Night Show. After he and Cedric Alexander defeated No Quarter Catch Crew, Evans found out that he'd lock horns with the legendary Randy Orton in St. Louis.

While they may be booked for a match, their issues could develop and become a full-blown feud. If this were to happen, Je'Von would be elevated considerably by the veteran. It would also give Orton someone completely new to work with.

#3. Randy Orton could try to take down the unbeatable Oba Femi

Oba Femi is the biggest threat in all of WWE NXT. Despite only wrestling for a limited time, the Nigerian Superstar is already the North American Champion. He is getting close to becoming the longest-reigning champion ever.

The dominant WWE star is seemingly unstoppable and even invoked fear out of The Don himself, Tony D'Angelo. That shows how scary Oba is.

While Oba has been dominant against the other stars of the developmental brand, he'll certainly have much more trouble against a seasoned campaigner like The Viper. Can a veteran like Randy Orton manage to upstage Femi, or will he suffer the same fate as others?

#2. The Viper could clash with the popular Trick Williams

Trick Williams has redefined what it means to be popular on the white and gold brand. As soon as his music hits, fans loudly chant "Whoop That Trick" for the former NXT Champion. The WWE Universe can't get enough of him.

Williams will challenge Ethan Page for the prized NXT Championship on the debut episode of the brand on The CW on October 1, 2024.

Many believe that Trick will be a major star on the main roster, but for that to happen, he needs to be able to hang with the best of the best. Randy Orton coming to NXT and feuding with Williams can be a way to prepare the latter ahead of his eventual main roster debut.

#1. Ethan Page could put his belt on the line

Ethan Page joined WWE earlier this year. Within weeks of joining the Sports Entertainment juggernaut, he won the NXT Championship.

As noted, Trick Williams will soon be challenging the reigning champion for the coveted NXT Title. Many believe that Trick will be the one standing tall in their upcoming bout.

If that is indeed the case, Page would need a post-loss feud. What would be more interesting, however, is if All Ego retained the NXT Championship and proceeded to feud with Randy Orton. The Viper chasing after one of the only titles he's yet to win in his WWE career could be an interesting storyline, and the matches would certainly deliver.
