Darren Young tells WWE he is "deeply in love" with boyfriend

- The Press-Telegram has an article about Darren Young speaking at yesterday’s “be a STAR” rally in Los Angeles. Young, who announced that he was gay earlier that day, spoke at the rally, but discussed overcoming a speech impediment as a child.

“People told me that I would not be a WWE superstar, and I didn’t take no for an answer,” Young said. “I improved my speech and I’m living the dream. So (all I can) tell you is, if you have any types of disabilities, don’t (sell) yourself short.”

- GLAAD issued the following statement about Young coming out, via PerezHilton.com: “Darren Young’s courageous decision to speak out about being gay gives countless young LGBT people, athletes, and fans of the WWE someone to cheer for and look to. With a demonstrated commitment to anti-bullying initiatives and LGBT inclusion, the WWE has paved the way for a gay Superstar to be welcomed and supported.”

- TMZ has an article about why Young decided to come out. According to the story, Young told WWE that he was “deeply in love” with his boyfriend Nick, who he has been living with in Florida for “some time now.” WWE sources told the gossip site that Nick was a deciding factor in Young coming out.
