Dean Ambrose & Renee Young's Marriage: 5 facts you need to know
Love on the road in the WWE is a pretty common occurrence when you consider the fact that these men and women are on the road for nearly 300 days in a year, most of which are spent together. There have been a number of high-profile WWE couples like John Cena and Nikki Bella, The Miz and Maryse, Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella, and more.
One of the more surprising and low profile WWE couples is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion, Dean Ambrose, and everyone's favourite WWE anchor, Renee Young. This is surprising because the two are such complete opposites, but they don't make a big deal about being together.
Now that the two have recently been married, we thought we'd give you some facts about the newlywed couple. So, without any further ado, here are 5 facts you need to know about Dean Ambrose and Renee Young's marriage:
#1 They got married in secret
There were no big announcements, and there was no big wedding ceremony. Hell, there wasn't even a small announcement. Dean Ambrose and Renee Young decided to tie the knot shortly before the Superstar Shakeup, and the news only reached public ears due to some keen-eyed fans.
As you can see in the tweet below, some WWE fans picked up on the fact that Dean seemed to be wearing what looked suspiciously like a wedding ring on the day he was transferred to Monday Night Raw:
The very next night on Talking Smack, Renee Young was also spotted with a shiny new rock on her finger. It was finally made official when Young tweeted out confirmation that the pair were indeed married:
And, there you have it.
#2 They live in Las Vegas
The newlywed couple has actually been living together for a while now, and they have made their home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Despite Dean Ambrose being from Cincinnati, Ohio, and Renee Young hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the pair decided to take up residence in the desert. I suppose it makes some amount of sense considering how much Ambrose seems to love partying and gambling according to his on-screen character.
Living together would definitely have helped during their relationship as they have a common home to come back to during their days away from the WWE's gruelling schedule of events but that might be a little compromised now that the two are on separate brands.
Which neatly brings me to my next point...
#3 They were split up just after their wedding
Doesn't it seem a little strange that Dean Ambrose was traded over to Monday Night Raw right after he tied the knot with Renee Young? Things were ideal for the couple when they were both on Smackdown Live as it allowed them to match schedules, travel the world together, and relax at home together.
Unfortunately, now that they're on separate brands, they won't be seeing each other nearly as much except for cross-brand pay per views such as Summerslam, Survivor Series, The Royal Rumble, and Wrestlemania, and on the occasions that Renee is sent over to do some backstage or anchor work on Raw's programming.
There have been unsubstantiated rumours that they were split up because the WWE isn't happy with their relationship, but at this moment those rumours are just that, unsubstantiated.

#4 They kept their relationship a secret for two years
Dean Ambrose and Renee Young have been dating since 2013. This fact was only confirmed to the public two years later in 2015 when Young divulged the information during an interview. This combined with the fact that they even kept their wedding a secret shows how much the pair values their privacy. Even the WWE didn't acknowledge the relationship until 2016 when The Miz mentioned during a promo segment on Smackdown Live.
Both of them are very much in love but would rather not shout it from the rooftops with grand, public gestures. They seem to be entirely comfortable enjoying each other's company in their own private space and I, for one, think that's awesome.
#5 Were they replaced by John Cena and Nikki Bella?
Remember that thing I said about The Miz mentioning Renee Young and Dean Ambrose's relationship? It was part of a promo he cut against Ambrose, and the WWE seemed to be building towards a big angle between Young, Ambrose, Miz, and Miz's wife Maryse. It didn't get very far and was abandoned.
Instead, shortly after this, a similar angle was started except it was John Cena and Nikki Bella in the spotlight against Miz and Maryse. Seeing how private Young and Ambrose are, I doubt the WWE would have booked an angle for them to propose during Wrestlemania 33 but it makes sense that they abandoned when the Cena-Nikki plans became concrete.
After all, what's the point of two intergender tag team matches back to back? It takes away from the novelty of the whole thing.
