Dean Ambrose to return to WWE & retire legend, The Shield to reunite? 3 ways Roman Reigns could end his in-ring careerĀ

Roman Reigns is currently involved in a feud with Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline on SmackDown. Following his win at Survivor Series: WarGames, The OTC will face The Street Champion in a Tribal Combat on RAW's Netflix debut.

While Reigns is currently going strong in the Stamford-based promotion, he recently opened up on his retirement plans. During an interview with Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated, the former Undisputed WWE Champion stated that he has given retirement a thought; however, he isn't done just yet.

While Reigns still has a few years left in him, the following piece will explore three potential ways he could end his in-ring career:

#3. Dean Ambrose could return to retire Roman Reigns

Jon Moxley fka Dean Ambrose exited WWE back in 2019. The former Shield member is currently performing in AEW and is bound to Tony Khan's company until 2027.

However, with Triple H now in charge of WWE, Ambrose could return to the Stamford-based promotion once his AEW contract expires. If that is indeed the case, The Lunatic Fringe could be a part of a riveting storyline in WWE following his comeback.

Dean Ambrose could return to retire his former Shield partner Roman Reigns. Given his accomplishments, the OTC has arguably achieved legendary status in WWE. The creative team could book Reigns against Dean Ambrose in a career vs. career match, where the latter could defeat his former partner to retire him.

#2. The Shield could reunite for one last time

If Dean Ambrose does make a comeback to WWE, this could lead to a massive Shield reunion. The company could have Roman Reigns reunite with his former partners, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose for one last stint before hanging up his boots for good.

The Shield's massive reunion could open doors to several big feuds against some big tag teams in the company such as The Judgment Day, The Wyatt Sicks, and The Bloodline. Roman Reigns finishing his in-ring career with the same faces he started would not only draw a lot of eyeballs but also give a fitting end to his journey.

#1. Roman Reigns could put over Zilla Fatu

Zilla Fatu, son of late wrestling legend Umaga, is rumored to sign with WWE to be a part of The Bloodline saga shortly. The up-and-coming star could join Solo Sikoa's new Bloodline following his debut and could go against Reigns.

Given his caliber, Zilla could be the next big thing in the Stamford-based promotion. The company could build him as Roman's replacement before pitting him against the OTC. Reigns could put over the real-life Bloodline member in his retirement match, which would establish Zilla as a legit star.
