Dean Ambrose talks blowing off WWE phone call
- Philly.com has an interview with Dean Ambrose here, who was promoting tonight's Royal Rumble pay-per-view. During the interview, Ambrose was asked about his memories of Philly.
"I was living in Philadelphia when I got signed by WWE," Ambrose said. "I was sitting there one afternoon, I just woke with a headache or something. I got a call from WWE that I thought was a prank, so I blew it off. Later in the day, I got more phone calls and I realized they were trying to hire me. It was completely out of the blue. I had figured if it was my career destiny to be an indie cult hero, then so be it.
- Evan "Tech" Prout interviewed Gene Snitsky on Under the Mat Radio in Baltimore, MD. The show airs every Tuesday from 7pm-9pm ET on blogtalkradio.com/PWPRadio. During the interview, Snitsky discussed eliminating Paul London with the clothesline off the apron at the 2005 Royal Rumble.
"I think it should be the number one Royal Rumble elimination ever," Snitsky said. "I'm a little biased, but I think it should be number one, nothing in my mind tops that. That bump that he (London) took was sick, that clothesline almost tore his head off. Nobody can compare to that, and that's my opinion."
