Did Roman Reigns hint at his WrestleMania 41 rivalry? Exploring the possibility
The new Bloodline will be in Roman Reigns' line of sight right now, but the OTC must be looking towards the future as well. And one of the biggest upcoming events is none other than WrestleMania 41. Dubbed The Grandest Stage of Them All, it is WWE's "piece de resistance," and as such, the Original Tribal Chief would be featured at the event. But the question arises: who could he possibly face? Well, Reigns himself may have given us a hint.
Speaking to Jimmy Traina in an interview with Sports Illustrated, Roman Reigns seemingly hinted at a potential third match against Cody Rhodes. The former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion was asked about his match with The American Nightmare at WrestleMania 40 and if he looked back at it as a fond memory, even though he lost the title.
Reigns responded that he appreciated it but now wondered what was next. In particular, he wondered how they could make the "sequel" or "trilogy" better.
"The burden is, how do we do it again? Or, how do we complement it? How do you make the sequel better or the trilogy? How do you continue to do it? Because I'm not ready to stop at this point!" Roman said. [11:01-11:18]
Now, of course, we cannot put much weight into these words. After all, Roman Reigns was speaking hypothetically. Furthermore, even if a third match between him and Cody Rhodes is on the cards, there is no guarantee it will happen at WrestleMania 41. Nevertheless, what the OTC said is something to take note of.
However, when all is said and done, this is nothing more than speculation. There is no telling what the future holds for either Rhodes or Reigns. But right now, the Original Tribal Chief will be laser-focused on Survivor Series: WarGames.
Roman Reigns is scheduled to have a discussion with CM Punk on SmackDown
As mentioned above, Roman Reigns is currently focused on Survivor Series: WarGames. But before that, he is set to appear on the go-home episode of SmackDown. Now, there is a lot on the line this Friday, especially considering the Original Tribal Chief is set to have a discussion with CM Punk.
Last week on the blue brand, Reigns was left surprised. Not just because of the return of his Wiseman, Paul Heyman, but because the 59-year-old revealed The Voice of The Voiceless as the fifth member of Team Roman for the upcoming Men's WarGames Match against Solo Sikoa's Bloodline. This was the first time The Best in The World was seen on TV since RAW after Bad Blood 2024.
It was a huge moment, but there is still some tension between Reigns and Punk. The two former world champions have a lot of history, and they will probably hash it out this week on SmackDown.
