From the WWE Rumor Mill: Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre's possible storylines revealed
What’s the story?
PWInsider recently reported two possible storylines that Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre could partake in over the next few weeks.
Apparently, the first scenario could feature Ziggler making his exit from WWE. On the contrary, the other situation could see McIntyre help resurrect Ziggler’s career.
In case you didn’t know…
The Showoff was drafted from SmackDown to RAW during the WWE’s recent Superstar Shake-Up.
However, Ziggler noted that he didn’t come to RAW alone; asserting that he and McIntyre are on RAW now, and intend to dominate the red brand—with the duo teasing their team’s name as “The Show”.
The heart of the matter
It was asserted that despite rumours regarding Ziggler having signed a new contract with the WWE, the fact remains that he hasn’t signed a new deal with WWE, and his current agreement expires this summer.
Additionally, it was noted that his storyline with McIntyre is either the beginning of Ziggler’s exit storyline from WWE or the beginning of the next generation of Ziggler’s WWE career.
Furthermore, it was emphasised that either way, McIntyre is likely to be the focal point of the storylines, since, in the first scenario, he can claim that he ran Ziggler out of the WWE.
On the contrary, in the second scenario, McIntyre could claim that he’s the one who resurrected Ziggler’s career, and now they’re both going to dominate WWE.
What’s next?
The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that Ziggler and McIntyre are likely to be featured prominently on WWE RAW in the weeks to come.
Further details regarding Ziggler’s WWE future are also expected to be answered in the weeks to come.
Author’s take
Love him or hate him, Ziggler is one of the most consistent performers in professional wrestling today.
Meanwhile, McIntyre is an absolute machine in the ring and pure gold on the mic.
They do indeed have the makings of a dominant team, and whether or not “The Show” lives up to the expectations, remains to be seen.
