WWE News: Dolph Ziggler putting his career on the line in Career vs Title match at No Mercy
On the latest episode of Smackdown Live, The Miz and Dolph Ziggler had an absolutely incredible segment. The Miz came out to his hometown of Cleveland and trashed the crowd for not appreciating him while they appreciated who he called “traitor” Lebron James and the city’s desperation for gold.
Dolph Ziggler, incidentally a Cleveland born and raised, came out to confront the Hollywood A-Lister.
The Miz cut a great promo calling Dolph Ziggler a loser and a failure and then began walking out. An emotional Ziggler cut a passionate promo admitting that The Miz was right, even calling him “Mike”.
It fell in the blurry lines between Kayfabe and reality.
In the promo, Ziggler said that he has nothing else but wrestling and that something someone loves may not love back. He then said his drive to win the Intercontinental Championship is too strong, and he put his career on the line, which The Miz instantly accepted.
So the match is official for No Mercy. It is a Career vs Title match. This is excellent as it is now arguably the most anticipated match for No Mercy, and it has also arguably been the most intense feud of WWE going on right now.
Here is a video of Ziggler’s passionate and emotional promo:

The card on No Mercy so far looks like this:
AJ Styles(c) vs John Cena vs Dean Ambrose(WWE World Championship)
Heath Slater & Rhyno(c) vs The Usos(Smackdown Tag Team Championship)
Becky Lynch(c) vs Alexa Bliss(Smackdown Women’s Championship)
The Miz(c) vs Dolph Ziggler(Career vs Title match)
This is already turning out to be an extremely stacked card. There were rumors going around recently that Ziggler’s contract will be expiring soon and that he is not signing a new one. This may potentially be a way to write him out of television.
However, it is still an interesting situation. Many have enjoyed The Miz’s Intercontinental title reign and feel that it should go on for longer, with many even believing he should beat The Honky Tonk Man’s record breaking 454 Championship reign.
However, if Ziggler is not retiring, then this may see the end of one of the greatest Intercontinental Championship reigns in recent history
