WWE: Dolph Ziggler talks about slump and more
Chris Van Vliet from WOIO-TV spoke with Dolph Ziggler before tonight’s RAW in Cleveland, which you can watch above. During the interview, Ziggler discussed his comedy career, the up and coming superstars to keep an eye on and his thoughts on Daniel Bryan as the champion. He also discussed his current slump, and admitted that it started after he suffered a concussion earlier this summer.
“I’m disappointed in a lot of my work lately, I’m not doing as great as I should be, but I’m working on it, I assure you,” Ziggler admitted. “At some point this will turn around and lead to bigger and better things and being back in the title picture… I’m disappointed in a lot of things that I’m doing and I’m not delivering. I’m known for stealing the show, and I don’t think that I’ve been doing that lately.”
Speaking of Ziggler, John Finnegan has been keeping track of wrestlers’ televised records (TV and PPV singles matches only) on his blog and ranking them as of Nov. 2006. Ziggler’s loss to Dean Ambrose at Night Of Champions last night was his 100th televised singles loss. He is the first wrestler to reach this unfortunate milestone. Also, The Miz’s victory over Fandango last night was his 100th televised singles win. That makes him only the 11th wrestler to reach this milestone, behind only C.M. Punk, John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Kane, Jeff Hardy, Kofi Kingston, Big Show, Mark Henry, and Alberto Del Rio. Ironically, Ziggler has 97 wins and is next in line for 100 wins.
