Dominik Mysterio to add top star to The Judgment Day behind Finn Balor's back? 4 tag teams WWE can form on RAW & SmackDown
The tag-team division across the main roster could use a boost. Given the current WWE roster, there are countless exciting possibilities for new duos.
Over the decades, WWE has drawn criticism for its treatment of its tag teams. However, things seem to be changing for the better, if the last couple of years are any indication. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn winning the Undisputed Tag Team Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 39 was a glaring sign that fans of tag team wrestling will be taken care of.
Currently, both pairs of Tag Team Champions in the men's division are involved in top storylines on their respective brands. As for the Women's Tag Team division, the champions are in a feud with WrestleMania main-eventer Bianca Belair and one of WWE's fastest-rising women wrestlers, Jade Cargill.
That said, there's still room for a plethora of dynamic new duos on RAW and SmackDown. Here are four options with incredible potential.
#4 Dominik Mysterio and Logan Paul
It goes without saying that WWE has done an incredible job of booking Dominik Mysterio. It's been almost two years since he turned heel and even now he can't utter a single word without the live crowd drowning him in boos.
As for Logan Paul, The Maverick initially wanted to work as a babyface. However, as months went by, he transitioned into a heel and became one of the most despised people in the sport, thanks to his classic heel antics and real-life controversies.
A duo comprising Dominik and Logan Paul would be like the reincarnation of Mega Powers, but with red-hot heels instead of generational babyfaces. During a recent episode of IMPAULSIVE, The Maverick showed excitement at the possibility of forming a duo with The Judgment Day member.
So, one could expect the 27-year-old star to welcome Paul into The Judgment Day, much to Finn Balor and others' bafflement. It wouldn't be the first time Dominik has gone behind his friends' backs. On the Road to WrestleMania XL, The chicken tenders fanatic aligned with Legado Del Fantasma without his teammates' approval.
#3 Michin and Shotzi
From The Pure Fusion Collective to Damage CTRL and the recurring fan-favorite alliance of Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, and Naomi, the WWE women's division is currently loaded with interesting groups.
Therefore, it makes perfect sense for every solo star to have someone who can watch their back in case they are caught in the crossfire of a faction war. Michin is no exception to that. She has been part of numerous groups throughout her professional wrestling tenure.
Up until recently, she was part of The O.C. While that's no longer the case, Michin doesn't intend to be on her own for long. On X/Twitter, she recently proposed the idea of a potential tag team with Shotzi once the latter is cleared to return, saying she thinks they "should go after those tag titles" once Shotzi was feeling 100 percent.
Shotzi has been sidelined since early February after suffering a torn ACL. If she sticks to her original recovery timeline, she might be back before the end of the year. So, the possibility of Michin and Shotzi making a name for themselves in the tag division is high.
#2 Karrion Kross and Xavier Woods
If there's one WWE trio that fans would love to see exist until they walk into the sunset, it's The New Day.
Even though they don't have momentum on their side currently, that doesn't change the fact that they will go down in history as one of the most successful wrestling groups.
However, with no clarity on Big E's in-ring future, coupled with teases of Xavier Woods abandoning Kofi Kingston, it looks like a heartbreak is in store for the WWE Universe, and we have Karrion Kross to thank for that.
Over the past few months, The Final Testament leader has been in Woods' ear, urging him to 'look out for himself.' Moreover, with the 2021 King of the Ring's visible lack of amusement at Odyssey Jones' growing friendship with Kofi, it might only be a matter of time before he finally takes Kross up on his sinister offer.

The rich history of professional wrestling isn't short of examples of arch-rivals becoming stellar tag-team partners. A strong example of that might be on the horizon.
At WWE Money in the Bank 2024, the legendary John Cena announced that he would embark on a year-long retirement tour starting January 2025. To no one's surprise, fans and WWE Superstars started throwing out interesting match ideas for The Franchise Player.
CM Punk was among the wrestling stars who expressed interest in squaring off against the 16-time World Champion. However, The Voice of the Voiceless also pitched an alternative idea that might break gate and viewership records across the globe. He mentioned that he'd like to team up with John Cena.
If WWE proceeds with this exciting idea, then RAW's Netflix debut would be the perfect show for the wrestling soulmates to kick off their alliance. The Stamford-based promotion could announce this iconic team-up well ahead of time to add unprecedented hype to the show for which fans already have exceedingly high hopes.
