Dominik Mysterio reminds Hall of Famer of a legendary WWE villain
Since turning against his father Rey, Dominik Mysterio has become one of the most hated superstars on the WWE roster.
Alongside Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and the SmackDown Women's Champion Rhea Ripley, Dominik is part of the villainous faction, The Judgment Day. The quartet has terrorized both RAW and SmackDown over the past year.
Speaking with Haus of Wrestling, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long compared Mysterio to the former SmackDown General Manager, Vickie Guerrero. The widow of the late Eddie Guerrero was one of the most hated performers in the company in the late 2000s:
"Tell you what I really was impressed with was last night with Dominik Mysterio, brother. He's got more heat than anybody, and that's how you do it. That's real heat. It took me all the way back to the Vickie Guerrero days because you remember Vickie. As soon as she opened her mouth, they started booing, they wouldn't even let her talk and the same thing hit Dominik last night. So he's got the real heat there." [H/T SEScoops]
Over the past month, all 4 members of the faction have competed in huge singles matches, either at WrestleMania or Backlash, truly highlighting WWE's high opinion of the group.
Dominik Mysterio reacts to Rhea Ripley's recent big win
This past Saturday at WWE Backlash, The Eradicator retained the SmackDown Women's title as she defeated the fan favorite, Zelina Vega.
After her win, Dominik Mysterio posted his joy at her retaining the title as he reacted on social media to her intimidating entrance ahead of her big win at Backlash.
Rhea Ripley won her first-ever SmackDown Women's Championship last month at WrestleMania 39 as she defeated Charlotte Flair, in what was arguably the best match on the show.
