Drew McIntyre to appear in major promotion after quitting WWE on RAW? Exploring the possibility

Drew McIntyre stunned the wrestling world as he quit WWE on RAW this past Monday. CM Punk once again cost McIntyre the World Title at Clash at the Castle, and The Scottish Warrior decided to air his grievances by walking out on the company.

McIntyre and Punk have been embroiled in a rivalry since The Road to WrestleMania XL. The Scottish Warrior won the World Heavyweight Championship at The Showcase of Immortals, but his obsession with CM Punk cost him the title as the latter attacked Drew during his victory celebration, providing Damian Priest an opportunity to cash in his Money in the Bank contract.

The Second City Saint once again cost Drew McIntyre the title match as he came to the ring disguised as a referee while the actual official was down. Frustrated with Punk's actions at Clash at the Castle, McIntyre decided to quit WWE on RAW this week.

Drew McIntyre walking out is obviously a storyline progression, as the Scottish star recently inked a new deal with the global juggernaut and is unlikely to leave the company. However, WWE could add more realism to the saga by having McIntyre show up in TNA, as the two promotions currently have a working relationship.

Drew McIntyre went to TNA after leaving WWE in 2014

While Drew McIntyre is one of the biggest stars in the pro wrestling world today, he was released from his WWE contract back in 2014. The Scottish Warrior returned to the independent circuit after the heartbreaking news and worked for multiple promotions.

McIntyre showed up in TNA in 2015 under the ring name Drew Galloway. He did not take long to become the TNA World Champion, as he cashed in his Feast or Fired briefcase on Matt Hardy to capture the gold. Drew parted ways with the promotion in 2017, after which he returned to the Stamford-based company.

The Scottish Warrior's second stint with the global juggernaut has been much more fruitful than his first. He has won multiple World Titles during his seven years with the company and recently inked a new deal, which was announced by The Rock himself.
