Drew McIntyre to break WWE Legend's Money in the Bank record? Exploring the possibility

Drew McIntyre was a happy man following the conclusion of last night's RAW. Defeating both Ilja Dragunov and his good frenemy Sheamus, McIntyre secured the last spot in the men's Money in the Bank ladder match. Now, he's one step closer to becoming World Heavyweight Champion once again. And, in the process of becoming champion, he may look to break a WWE legend's record.

The record in question belongs to The Devil's Favorite Demon, Kane. The Hall of Famer, was at one point, Mr. Money in the Bank, but not for long. After all, he holds the record for the fastest cash-in in WWE history, having held the briefcase for no more than 49 minutes. Well, come July 6, 2024, Drew McIntyre may just break that record if he ends up winning and becoming the new Mr. Money in the Bank.

Drew McIntyre has vowed to win the briefcase in Toronto and cash in on the night of his victory. Now, regardless of who wins in the title match, be it Seth Rollins or current champion, Damian Priest, both will have to be wary. Why? The Scottish Warrior may not have the patience to wait 49 minutes like Kane did to cash in.

McIntyre seems more eager and more desperate than ever to become champion. Both Rollins and Priest will need to be on their toes, should he end up winning the ladder match. But, this is all just hypothetical at this point and only time will tell how things unfold.

Drew McIntyre takes another jab at CM Punk after qualifying for Money in the Bank

Perhaps the biggest victory Drew McIntyre will get by becoming Mr. Money in the Bank will not be over Seth Rollins or Damian Priest but over CM Punk. The Scottish Psychopath has been at war with The Voice of the Voiceless for months now, and things don't look like they will end anytime soon. After all, McIntyre has done more than just humiliate and destroy the man in the last few weeks.

If beating him black and blue on SmackDown wasn't enough, McIntyre stole Punk's bracelet. It is a sentimental piece, and is special to Punk, as it has the names of his wife and dog on it. McIntyre took it out of spite, and this week, after qualifying for the ladder match, he unofficially took something else that belonged to Punk, while also firing shots at him: His title of "Best in the World".

It will be interesting to see if and when all this comes to an end between McIntyre and Punk. One thing is for sure, it will not be pretty. But, the WWE Universe is here for it, as it is nothing short of entertaining.
