Early predictions for the 2017 WWE Royal Rumble

It’ll be difficult for the WWE to sell out this mammoth event

When it was announced that the 2017 Royal Rumble would be taking place at The Alamodome in San Antonio, many began to speculate on how the WWE would sell out the 72,000 seat arena. One thing's for sure, the WWE will definitely go all out to make it the biggest Rumble event in history.

From legendary returns to significant storyline turns, here are a few directions I think the WWE will go with by January:

#1 Roman Reigns will win the Rumble match:

Yup you heard it here first, Roman Reigns is going to end another Royal Rumble in the limelight. If you haven't come to terms with it yet, the WWE are pretty set on Reigns being the next face of the company. It's only a matter of time before the Samoan performer re-enters the Universal title picture.

For the past few months, Reigns has been relegated to the middle of card ever since he violated the Wellness Policy, with many speculating that Vince had grown cold on him. But in recent episodes of Raw we've seen Reigns both start and close the show, showing that he's back in the spotlight.

His title match against Rusev was branded as one of the 'Triple Main Events' at Hell in a Cell. He's gradually etching back into the real main event picture and come January, Reigns will be THE favourite for the rumble match. Just accept it now so it doesn't anger you at the time, Roman Reigns is heading to the main event of Wrestlemania.
