EC3 discusses his time at WWE NXT, most admired colleague and more
In a recent interview, TNA’s latest World Heavyweight Champion – Ethan Carter III, popularly known as EC3, discussed various subjects ranging from his time on WWE NXT to a host of other topics.
When asked about his favourite and most admired colleagues, EC3 said, “I’ve been fortunate to share the ring with great wrestlers of legendary status, and those that will fill their boots in the future.”
“It wouldn’t be fair to list names without feeling as though I missed someone, but I can say that my favorite opponent has been Kurt Angle. Kurt was one of the reasons I fell in love with wrestling, and one the reason I decided to pursue it as a career, ” EC3 added.
The 32-year-old was also asked for his thoughts on NXT and its success, to which he replied, “It’s far different from the incarnation I was on and that is obviously for the better. They have a very good show and I’m happy to see the success of the people who are there.”
EC3, whose real name is Michael Hunter, began his wrestling career in Cleveland, before earning a short-lived first stint on WWE.
After wrestling for various promotions, EC3 won a contract with the then new NXT brand back in 2010, where he lasted for three years before making a move to TNA, which turned out to be a success and produced various titles in the form of a TNA’s Jokers Wild and his recent TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
